I just left this coffee shop with the worst customer experience ever from a coffee house. I was here last Friday the 1st. Left that day out of town to go to work. I am a pilot so when Im gone, Im gone from home for days. Got back 5 days later and realized I was missing an earring that I wore that day. First thought it fell off in the car, house, etc... Realized late that maybe it fell out at inversion. Stopped in the next day to see if it was there. The first cashier was nice and said she remember seeing it. Paid for my coffee and waited for her to look for it. She came back and said she couldnt find it. The barista said she will send a group text to the manager but they only hold on to stuff for a week and it was probably thrown away. I informed her its been less than a week and Ive literally been all over the US due to my job and only discovered this late the night before. She then became rude to me and said well we cannot hold on to everyones stuff for more than a week. I told her again it hasnt even been a week and its difficult to call or stop in while Im busy flying a plane at 35000 feet and I honesty didnt know till the night before. She became ruder and with a condescending attitude told me there was nothing they will do and didnt think anyone would care for an earring. There is something you can do, maybe comp my coffee and apologize? It wasnt an expensive or sentimental piece of jewelry, but what if it was? Horrible customer service. Never coming back. Recommend you dont either. Sticking with Angora or Siphon for now on.

The weirdo chick with the black and white hair might be the rudest barista in America but her manager is even WORSE!!!! Complete RACIST TRASH that target people of color that come in there (or USED to!!, come in there to work and get business done. Then they loud talk you so that everyone is staring at you!!! Completely disengaged, then loudly ordered myself and the 1 other women of color that was with me to "order coffee if we wanted to continue sitting there". Mind you, she made sure she said this loud enough so that EVERYONE in the entire establishment turned around and stared at us!!! And we were already drinking coffee and water, really??? Her customer service skills already have sucked for a while, now you can add arrogant, rude and SHRILL to her resume. Thank God for Starbucks and Siphon Coffee!!!!!

Background: Ive been to this coffee shop during the week several times to study. Look and Feel: Modern architecture with a hipster twist. The walls are mostly glass, which lets in a lot of natural light. Food Drink: The baristas really know what they’re doing and the specialty drinks are particularly good and unique. However, there’s no bottomless mug coffee option, which isnt ideal for studying. What to know: - The seating is limited and it’s usually packed. In fact, Ive often had to go to a different coffee shop because I couldnt find a seat so try to get there when it opens if you want to snag a table. Overall: Good specialty coffee drinks and a nice atmosphere, but a coffee shop with not enough seating and no bottomless mug option has "dropped the bean".

Despite the fact that I have gone to Inversion for over a year and the baristas still dont recognize me (except for Josh?- you rock), I love this place. I cannot stop drinking iced lattes from there, the espresso isnt acidic at all. I love the patio for reading and the food trucks that stop there from time to time. One of the great things about Inversion is that it shares walls with Art League Houston- so there are always great art installations outside. Definitely my favorite coffee stop in Houston.

I can dig the vibe of this coffee shop - its on the quieter side, so I would recommend coming here to do work or have a quiet/serious conversation (if louder, they have some seating outside, so its totally possible to still come here and have raucous chats). The drinks are okay, but the biggest downside to this place is that there is almost nowhere to sit - pretty sure max occupancy is somewhere along 30 people. Just be prepared to kind of aimlessly stand around until a spot opens up!

I always try an espresso when I visit a coffeeshop first time. This is how you understand their coffe quality so you can select your own coffe style depends of their espresso. Inversion coffee houses espresso was good but not great. Sour taste was little bid missing but i can give 4/5 so it is good enought. Inside decoration modern not cozy but perfect for studying. Musics are not loudly and slow, not bothering. Mainly it is a nice place to stop. Good job guys.

Honey Badger Latte is yummy - a perfect balance of light sweetness and strong espresso. It has 2 shots of espresso, milk, honey, and cinnamon. 3 stars overall for this hipster-filled place because the Americano wasnt that good, and the lady at the counter sucked at customer service. She treated people like they were a waste of her time. Parking here is great because they actually have a parking lot! And there are food trucks right outside the building.

My favorite place to study in Houston. Lots of seating and power outlets, big windows and lots of natural light. The drinks are great: my favorites are the cortado and the chai latte. Baked goods are not bad, and while the selection is limited, theres a taco truck right outside and lots of food options in the neighborhood. The art is usually alright? Not my thing perhaps, but its not why I come here. Great place, I come here all the time.

I judge a coffee shop by their cappuccino. I ordered a cappuccino and got a latte. Same thing a month later ... and a year later. I need to remember not to come here. Good vibe and nice folks. They just dont understand that a cappuccino is a cup of thirds and when ordered "for here" it should be in a proper cup. A cappuccino in a paper cup is a travesty. Three stars for being on par with a good Starbucks.

Cool building and some good snacks/sweets but coffee is not great. My partner and I both had an overextracted and bitter Cortada and Cappucino. Disappointing as we thought his place would fit the bill for a great coffee! To be fair though, a coffee from here is better than your average American cafe. They have all the right tools, all they need to do is pull the shot correctly and clean their machine... :)

I would say 3.5! The parking is a bit small and you would need to go around to seek for parking spot. But this is expected since its in Montrose area. Their space is also limited and I dont think its good to come to hangout with friends because people come there mostly working on their own and its very quiet. Unless youre fine with sitting outside. I got their basic black coffee and its good imo.

The atmosphere of the place is nice and this may be a nice place to eat or study, but the barista was very lackluster. The cortado, which is already a relatively small drink, was not filled to the top and was very lukewarm right off the bat and left a weird aftertaste. I was told the latte was good but my experience overall was not the best. I probably wouldnt come here again.
