This place is HORRIBLE, with a capital H. I smell a smelly smell in the condiment aisle that smells smelly like a load of anchovies and ugly barnacles. It smells even worse than fish, so STAY AWAY FROM THIS AISLE! I dont find anything cool. There is not much diversity of culture in products. Very dirty, filthy, and unorganized. But there is an aisle that carries soap, incense sticks, utensils, plates, bowls, and silverware. It is the only aisle in this store that smells nice. This place lacks a bakery and dairy section. But ironically, its name means "fragrant harbor." It should be called Chou Kong, or "smelly harbor," or maybe the Vietnamese Market Place, due to its vast production of Vietnamese items and the little Vietnamese stores surrounding it. This is the worst Asian market ever. It stinks! Yuck! Gross! Disgusting! DEUUEAUGH! Id better run to H-Mart or 99 Ranch!

Hi All, Please provide any available info on the conditions of the farms of farmed fish they sell here. I love to eat fish and this place has a variety of fish available. I am particularly asking about Golden Pomfret fish sold at 2.99$/lb. I love the taste of Pomfret and we have age old recipes passed down from generations to generations for cooking Pomfret. The only doubt that I have is the PCB levels in the farmed Pomfret. There is no info available any where on the source of this fish farming. I am not sure if any tests were performed in this fish. I would like to know as much as possible, because as I said, I am a big fan of pomfret, but safety always comes first. Any reliable info is welcome. Thank you, please help.

Genuine customer service was in great absence when me and my son were at this place. It looks like the management doesnt really care how its people treat customers. The fish section was busy and customers were lining up and the meat department next to it had no customer to serve with. I asked one of the guys who worked in the meat section for help, but he refused to do so saying he worked for the meat section. Attentive staff never exist every time I come to that place but the guy who works as security as he always greets you.

I have been to plenty of Asian Markets in the San Diego, CA area because thats where Im from, and this place is on my top list other than H Mart. Asian Markets have a distinct smell which can be a turn off if you are not used to going to real Asian Markets. If youre looking for a TomThumb ambiance, then this isnt the place for you. If you are looking for very reasonably priced vegtable/fruit/beef/pork/fish/poultry products then this is a great place to shop.

This place is awesome! It has a large selection of live seafood and cheap produces. I have to say that I will give five stars to the produces section because it has the largest selection in the area and price is much cheaper than Kroger. But pay close attention to the expiration date if you are buying frozen food such as ice creams and frozen seaweeds near the tofu rack....some of them have expired for more than one year.

This store are located inside Hong Kong market and sell many most recently updated Chinese, Korean and Hong Kong movies and episodes. This store also sell many hello kitty gift and bags. The phone card this store sell to China, Hong Kong and Taiwan are really cheap and good. It tell you the exactly minutes. Every time I have to stop by and refill my car air freshener.really good store.

There is definitely a strong fish smell permeating through the market; its most pungent in the back. I wouldnt say Id want to shop here frequently, but I think it makes a nice trip for some less common fixings because of its location. I did enjoy their large selection of spices and other common items one might find in similar Asian markets.

Hong Kong Market Place fish around! I mean the line outside on NYE will tell you how great quality of seafood that they have. And they make sushi too fresh!! And they have a lot of products from Hawaii that we cant find anywhere else but Hawaii so my family and I love to come here. Its not the biggest store but its has so much to offer.

I go here almost every week for vegetables. Their meat is good too. I dont trust their frozen food, have gotten some melted and refrozen meals. They have cheap shrimp that are 16/20 size. Gets crowded on Sundays and they dont have many cashiers. Decent selection and I can always find a sauce or seasoning I need here.

Being from Hong Kong, I appreciated finding many goods from HK right here. They have a fairly good selection of breads in their bakery. They offer many frozen dim sum items as well as many frozen types of seafood. When you walk in, they unmistakeably offer fresh seafood from their aquariums.

Great selection of produce and herbs, the herbs here are by far the best Ive ever seen and prices are very reasonable. At the food court area both the roast duck and roast pork is amazing, definitely recommended. Havent tried anything else but will in the future.

This is my go-to place for different types of tea. Amazing selection. Ive been here multiple times and am still getting used to the check-out system. Make sure to watch what others are doing when youre putting your cart in line!

Dont waste your time here, go somewhere else to but your groceries. Hate this market, it stinks, filthy, old (even though its remolded) and some of the food dont even have expiration dates on them. Never coming back here again.

Not clean. Need to be remodel there. Oh and theres is a mean security guard there he told my friend to get off the rice bags he was only like 6 years old. The security guard said he will pull out his belt and whoop us.

As soon as you walk in the market, a pungent smell of fish and seafood wafts into your face. In spite of that, the fish and seafood products are good and reasonably priced.

A good place to go for Oriental grocery if you are nearby. Has lots of selection. The best food to recommend is the barbecue pork in the food court.

Has lots of variety of asian food. Place is fairly clean for an asian market. Some of the fresh produce could be better.
