Best Costco in the DFW area, however Im giving it 3 stars for lack of upper tier options (even online). Costco is a great company with a fantastic culture, but they are missing out on certain product segments and services. Ive added a few criticisms and suggestions below that can help attract additional revenue without canabalizing other product group and consequently sales. The employees are always great to deal with and the product selection is great, however it could be better. Since they carry so many 4k TVs, why not carry the 4k movies. Also expand your home theater sound options, dont just stock Samsung and Bose. Offer 7.1 receiver/system options and sell higher end standalone speakers such as Bowers and Wilkins. And where is the PS4 Pro? More importantly they could use an upgrade to their appliance selections. It would be nice to see Wolf/Sub-Zero, Thermador, and Miele carried here (even if online). The lack of options for built in column type refrigeration is a shame. I get that they have the NXR range line (great job adding the griddle option btw!), but they miss out on having a 60" option. Look at Thermadors 60" range with double griddle, and two full size ovens its an amazing product - sure it has high BTUs but they are the best at low temperature cooking! If you havent seen a Miele digital steam oven yet ... you should, it will change the way cooking is done in the house. Heck Id almost be willing to take the same pricing on appliances as Best Buy just for getting the chance to purchase it through Costco and get its support and product backing. Its great to see they are changing their furniture lineup to attract the younger demographic with Transitional and Modern pieces, however why not up the quality of the furniture a little. The veneers on a lot of the wood furniture are pretty cheap and tend to scratch easily, just look at the displays. Get actual wood furniture and advertise it as such. Lastly expand your home improvement selection and carry products for customers remodeling and building new homes. Evaluate recent building trends and proceed as such. More modern/transitional fixtures (plumbing and lighting) ... why not sell the Koehler DTV+ thermostatic shower kit or other digital showers. Also an easy entry point would be windows ... have you seen how popular Jeldwen or Durango windows are? The market needs someone to help drive down the cost of aluminum and metal windows, plus offer alternatives. Happy to chat with a Costco rep to clarify feedback!

On Sunday, 7/23/2017, I went here with the purpose of looking around to decide if I wanted a membership. I currently have a membership at Sams amd have heard such wonderful things about Costco. 1 - The greeters at the door were amazing. I asked where member service was, they directed me. 2 - Once I get to the member service desk there was a very short line. The person in fron of me had finally beem helped so I was next. I stood there for about 7 minutes after while 3 ladies, not 1, but 3 ladies kept looking at me, no acknowledgement, and continued to giggle amongst each other. Finally, I snapped by rudely interrupting them asking if I could walk around to compare pricing before deciding to join. They replied yes, continued to chat, and I walked away. RUDE MUCH. I originally come from a customer service background in banking, and that my dear was the worst customer service I have ever ecperienced in my life. 3 - After walking around, the pricing on fresh produce, boxed items such as snack/breakfasr bars, home items such as sheets, blankets, bathroom items, and more I fell in love and wanted to join. But after dealing with the 3 very RUDE ladies at the member service desk, I decided that I will nit be joining that location, but Ill drive out the way to join the Plano location north of 75. Things I would highly recommend improvement on at this location is customer service, especially if you are working the customer service desk, and the inner layout. The layout on the inside made no sense whatsoever. It was almost like walking in a corn maze (aka a labyrinth). So confusing to the point it made me dizzy.

Spoke w the store manager last night at the request of the customer service employee I made my return with. Started my convo off with him by telling him how I love Costco & have been a fan for years... but that recently Ive had to make so many returns its been more of a pain to shop at Costco than a pleasure like previously. Whats happened: Ive made these recent (all in 2 mos) returns do to poor quality control: rotten watermelon, molding blackberries, molding kiwis, organic ground turkey in a package NOT sealed (made a juicy mess of raw meat & is completely unsanitary), 1 pair of shorts that an employee marked on w a sharpie marker as they were reviewing my receipt, another pair of the same shorts that had legs off in length by a quarter inch+, & a leather purse that after using for less than 1 month was not holding up (what I havent returned: molding apples, rotten avocados, moldy mushrooms, & more). What does this mean? It means almost every time I shop at Costco Im having to waste time I dont have bring something back for returns. Bottom line: The manager did not take any responsibility, did not listen to me - overall very unprofessional & Im truly disappointed. He made no apologies & accepted no responsibility for having rotten & moldy produce on the floor, but instead suggested I get help from staff selecting produce that isnt rotten & moldy.

This Costco is amazing from top to bottom, inside and outside. It is really clean and has a lot of friendly staffs and quick cashier lines. It has almost everything you needed, wanted, and things you didnt know you wanted. There are a lot of parking spaces if you are willing to walk 30 seconds to get to the main entrance. Go on the weekday between 9am-11am or 2pm-4pm to get the quickest shopping experience. Go on the weekend at lunchtime and enjoy the free samples, but you will soon be joining several hundred people waiting at the cashier lines. Dont forget to try out their $1.50 hotdog and soda combo. The gas station is priced lower than the nearby gas stations and it is so popular that there is always a line at every pump, unless you get there first thing in the morning. Downside is you must have a Costco membership.

My neighbors and friends wouldnt shut up about how excited they were about this opening so of course I had to go and check it out. The employees are always smiling and friendly and the service is great. There havent been any long lines so far and Ive been able to find everything I need. We will be cancelling our Sams club membership. I do wish they carried bulk Stevia sodas but they have more brands that I like than Sams does so I cant complain. Im told they carry lots of kosher items so that is a plus as well. We are addicted to their brazilian cheese bread balls and organic orange juice that tastes like fresh squeezed. Produce looks great and there are food samples everyday (except early mornings). Do wish they opened earlier because I like to start my errands at 9am.

Awesome selection terrible customer service. Darren was so unprofessional when checking me and my family out he slammed my card on the counter and laughed at us when we corrected him on our payment method. We were planning to use the gift card we received when we signed up and the rest on debit. He argued with me when I was trying to explain to him what we were doing. I have never gone to a store and was treated so rudely for no reason. I spoke with manager and it didnt seem like they cared at all. So im guessing its perfectly fine for cashier to treat customers this way.
