I have been to other pawn shops and as a matter of fact today I went into a different one called Cash america pawn on rutland and North lamar multiple times the jewlery I brought was purchased from there and pawned multiple times.. I just got this very item back from them 2 weeks ago.. Today I had the most horrible experience with the only lady who was on duty..The place was packed with people and only 3 employees everyone was in line and this lady kept telling the next person in line that they dont take those items that should have stopped me from proceeding but i figure im already here so as she is still with the same costumer as she did she proceeded to look over at me up and down to see what I brought in after seeing this I immediately thought yes I am going to have a problem with her but bieng the bigger person I waited and hoped that I would get a different employee to help me but , I was wrong she made it a point to speed up her process after seeing that i was the only one in line.. I explained that I needed a loan and have been there before seeing that they ask those questions anyways, she swung my necklace towards the magnet and said hmm its sticking.. she then did multiple tests and after passing all of them comes back to the magnetic test and shows someone else how the chain swings .. I understand that they have to test items but if she actually knew how to do her Job then she would have clearly seen that my necklace was and is not fake. After leaving I went down the street to CASH PAWN ON NORTH LAMAR AND WAS TREATED WITH RESPECT BY A YOUNG GENTLEMEN AND WHO DID ALL THE MULTIPLE TESTS AS THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO AND WALKED OUT WITH MY MONEY IN HAND WITHIN MINUTES.. THE EMPLOYEES KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE DOING I TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT.. I love this place and recommend it

I have been a customer at this location for a while and I have purchased several items. I looked at a piece of equipment and it was broken I told them I would have to think about it and I would be back. On my way back my car broke down I called them to hold the item and they said no. I know pawn shops are not like the TV show and its money talks and bull corn walks. If youre thinking pawn shops are out to help you would be sadly mistaken and this pawn is no different. I have several pawn shops that recognize me and give me return customer treatment this one I could buy something five minutes earlier and they couldnt care less and I have experience the same issues that other shops have like sold items on the shelf. Thats right items that appears sold on the computer and sitting on the shelf and that goes for layaways also. I tried buying something there and when I tried to pay for it, it turned out it was on layaway. How would you like knowing your layaway items are on display for other to take parts off of or dropped. Not professional at all this store and one other location I have had the same issue with. I purchased a piece of equipment and was told I had 48 hours to return it. It turns out that was a bold face lie because the receipt in small print stated all sale final no returns no exchanges as is sale. Now I have a something that doesnt work and the repairs would cost more than the items worth new Im done with this location they have done me wrong for the last time. If cash pawn states you have a 24-48 hour warranty get it in writing because every receipt printed has as is no refunds no exchanges buyer has inspected item. Thats all locations I tried contacting the company and they have refused to deal with me. Buyer be warned ask before you buy
