Unfortunately, I found Mylinda Renay Spa on the internet. The ad led me to believe this place was a top-rated salon and spa in the DFW area. This past weekend, I took my niece to the Mylinda Renay Spa for her Birthday. I had made reservations the previous week for a full day of pampering and just being together. At least, thats what I thought we were going to do. When we walked in the front door, there were flies all over the place. My niece had her manicure/pedicure first. I had a massage. When the manicurist pulled out the footsoaker, just like you buy in the store, and then pulled out her nail polish and equipment from her bag, I started getting upset. She only had a few select colors to choose from and used the same brush that was in the bottle. I dont even know if she even washed the footsoaker after each use. She told my niece that the owner wouldnt let them buy or upgrade equipment because she didnt want to spend the money. The massages were great; however, manicure/pedicure charges were that of the higher class spa, which have flowers in the water and people hovering all around to offer wine and other refreshments to make sure you were having a wonderful time. This is not one of those places. We were scheduled for facials, however, we were both so upset with the pedicure and manicure experience, I went to the front desk and cancelled the remaining services we planned to have that day. I explained to the girls at the front desk that I was expecting my niece and I to be together and that what is pictured and advertised on the internet, we thought it was going to be a spectacular experience. I wish I would not have gone. It was a waste of money and we could have better services and atmosphere where we live. Very disappointing and misleading. I do not recommend this place to anyone. The only good part was the massage. Do not know about the hair salon services, so I wont rate that. Everything else I do not recommend.

A little background, Ive been a client of Mylinda Renay for sometime, and about seven months ago moved to McKinney, Texas only to find it necessary for me to drive an hour one-way to continue with Mylinda because I was unable to find a Hair Designer within the Dallas, Frisco, Plano, or McKinney area with the ability to cut, style, and put in hair extensions, so you could walk out of the salon without wanting to put a sack on your head. I am all but bald on top, but Mylinda keeps me looking as though I was born with beautiful hair. Well approximately three-weeks ago I was in Louisiana and a Cajun cousin and I decided we needed something to do, so we colored my hair, it turned out red as a foxes ass, and honey, that is red!! I neither have the texture or tone to wear red, so I had to run across the country with freaking red hair for a couple of weeks. I got back to Texas and called Mylinda ; OMG, that woman worked a miracle removing every hint of red, gave me low-lights/ high-lights, plus put in about 80 fusion extensions along with a few tape-ins in the top and side, and brought me back to the beautiful blonde with definition that makes my face pop!!. Honey, my hair looks like a models with healthy shine and thickness... Hot, I am, I mean "Smoking"... Mylinda has a talent that only God could give as she can envision a design to cut and style which will make you look and feel Super Great. Anyone with limply fine crappy thin hair, Please, I say Please, try Mylinda, you will be a happy woman. Goodness, she has clients that live so far they have to fly in to see her. I feel most blessed to have her keep me looking so damn good, as this ole gal has some miles,Oh but it was fun... Really, you will get more than your moneys worth, so all I can say if you dont take heed to this message, "Bless Your Heart" !

Ladies and Gents, Listen up, As you may or may not be aware, no longer do we white folks have to long for beautiful managable hair. Today, not only our beautiful black ladies and men get "fusion extensions", but they are also available to we white people with fine thin hair... Yeah !!! Mylinda Renay may not be world renown for Fusion Hair Extensions, but she is awesome. This lady has a passion, so of course, so she excells in every aspect of hair design, color, cut, and yes, "fusion hair extensions". I receive more compliments on my hair on a daily basis than probably most people. I am a senior hot female, and I can say that since my hair extensions. I will not go without my extensions. Hair extensions from Mylinda last over 4-months, but of course, you must keep them up just as you would your solar nails, pedicures, etc. I cannot say enough for Mylinda Renay when it comes to styling hair, cut, color, and now fusion hair extensions that are virtually undetectable. Plus, you wont feel like you have to mortgage the farm to look so great. I am so excited for those of you with limp fine thin hair to take advantage as ladies, we must do whatever it takes to look our best; So come into the salon, ask for Mylinda, the Owner, and she will not only cut your hair to be most attractive for your face, but turn her loose and when you walk out, not only will know youre hot, but everyone else will also,. You will carry yourself differently knowing, youre one good looking lady!! There will NO longer be "Bad Hair Days". Since my extensions, my hair style will last a week whether Ive stood on my head or not.

I havent been in a couple of years, but when I did go, I adored my nail technician. I did, sometimes, wish she was able to do nail art...but she couldnt, and so I stuck around anyway because she was reasonably prices and fun to talk to. Eventually, she left and there were no other technicians there to work with. I was told itd be about two weeks or so before theyd find a new one. I only had one bad experience there with management, and it could have very well just been a bad day for them. The front desk girl, at that time, was sick and unfortunately, had some kind of personal problems going on that management decided to handle publicly. I found that a bit tacky and uncalled for. It made me feel uncomfortable and even worse for the young girl working the front desk. Whether the problems she had called for correction or not, the real issue I had was the manner in which it was dealt with. Good managers means good employees and good employees means happy customers. Bad managers trickle down to eventual loss of customers and word of mouth getting around town that its not a good place to go to. Hopefully, this has never happened again to anyone else. I did take my daughter here once for her birthday and they did a fantastic job with doing her hair beautifully, just as she had wanted. So would I recommend this place to anyone? Of course. One bad experience doesnt totally end it for me. If I were closer, Id certainly give them another go!
