Just got a tattoo here, and was SUPER pleased. It was my first tattoo. I got some small text on my ankle. I have a preeetty ridiculous needle phobia, but the artist, Russ, was super accommodating and nice. He didnt make me feel bad at all. When I nearly passed out, he waited till I felt better to continue, and gave me some homemade oatmeal cream pies someone had left in the studio. He couldnt have been a nicer, more genuine, cool dude to have sticking needles into your flesh. The studio itself was warm and inviting, with artwork and photos all over the walls. It almost felt like a cool coffee shop cum tattoo studio. It felt very clean, and Im sure was technically sterile, but it didnt have a sterile, cold feel to it at all. I will most def be back for my next tattoo, and Im requesting Russ...though all the guys who work there are super cool and laid back. Thanks guys for the positive experience!

Ive been following Ian White for almost 7 years now. Ive been to several other artists around Nashville, but I always go back to him. Ive had 6 sessions with him, and Ive never been disappointed. Ive had work done by 5 different artists (Black 13 and Kustom Thrills...to name a few), and while Ive loved their style and art, and even sometimes the general aesthetic of the shop, theres something about the actual session and the vibe between client and artist that just makes having that tattoo more meaningful and fun. Of course, its all relative and depends on your style, but its hard for me to think of someone who wouldnt get along with Ian. But the whole studio always has an amazing range of artists. I dont think hes ever had anyone under him that I wouldnt trust. The talent, artistry, and general good-vibe atmosphere around these guys makes any tattooing experience great. I cant recommend it enough.

This was my first time getting a tattoo and it couldnt have been a better experience for me. Chip was my artist and he did an amazing job! All of the artists at Safe House seem like really cool dudes with unique styles but Chip was absolutely hilarious. The shop was sterile but still had a calm and relaxing vibe. Josh (shop manager), who I had been in communication with prior to my appointment, was extremely attentive and responsive to my questions and concerns. I definitely plan to go back for another tattoo with a different artist maybe but Chip is the man. Thanks for my beautiful watercolor elephants; I cant wait to show my mother!

Safe house tattoos is super clean and comfotable. All of the artists are friendly, helpful, and informative. I met Chipper Harbin and when I saw his work it blew me away. He sketched out EXACTLY what I wanted before I had barely gotten the description out of my mouth and then asked me tons of questions about details I hadnt considered. While working he was easy to chat with and went above and beyond to not only make me comfortable, but excited about the process as well. And the tattoo.... I cant put into words how happy I am with it. Its everything I had imagined plus Chippers AMAZING talent and creativity.

LOVED! My daughter and I got tattooed by Ben Ritchie. We are so pleased with the way they turned out. I emailed the shop owner a picture of what we were looking for and he matched us with Ben. Ben took the picture and turned it into something that was similar, but still the styling that we wanted. Ben is quick and very talented! We had to wait several weeks for an appointment, however it was absolutely worth it! The staff is excellent. It is so clean, very efficient and very inviting. I will not be going anywhere else or to anyone else ever. I am already planning what I want next.

I had a great experience from start to finish! Josh was great at communicating Chips availability and keeping me updated. I sent a couple of references for my tattoo and Chip had a stencil of exactly what I had envisioned. I was very impressed that without ever speaking to Chip directly before my appointment he managed to come up with exactly what I wanted. The shop was extremely clean and very welcoming. I had a great experience and I am so thrilled with how my tattoo came out. Get on Chips waiting list if you can, you will not be disappointed!

The staff at Safe House Tattoo Studio are fantastic! Ive been getting tattooed by Chipper Harbin for the past two years and I have been blown away by his incredible artistic ability and interpretation of what Im looking for in my tattoos. The studio is super clean, and everyone working there are incredibly friendly. I travel almost 3 hours each time Im getting tattooed which should tell you their worth! I came Thursday evening semi-hoping for a walk-in availability, but instead making an appointment for the day after--I could already tell the guys there were pretty cool though. I came in the next day and got my first tattoo, and I love it! I got it done by a guest artist, Colin, and it looks great. The studio itself is also pretty cool, and super clean. So, walking in near close on a weekday may not be the most fruitful approach, but you can also send them emails and make appointments that way. I definitely recommend this place to others.

Upon arrival I was promptly greeted by Ian White for my appointment. Ian showed me the sketch he had prepared and suggested we start the new ink. The shop is very clean and inviting and hands down the best atmosphere I have experienced in any shop located in Nashville. Ian and staff were extremely nice and professional. My sitting lasted well over 3 hours and there wasnt a lack for conversation or entertainment. I was more than pleased with the quality of work and will return soon for more. Chipper is an unbelievably talented tattoo artist and is the only one I would trust to do a watercolor tattoo on me. He has his own style and I just gave him a rough idea of what I was thinking, but I let him do the rest and my watercolor rose tattoo turned out perfectly. I have been looking for the right artist for a long time, and he was definitely it and worth the price. The atmosphere is super clean and inviting, with a fun, hipster feel. Definitely recommend as the best tattoo parlor in all the south!

We loved everything about our Safe House Tattoo experience! The establishment itself is incredibly clean and has such a cool vibe. Everyone was sincerely friendly and professional from the moment we walked through the door. Eli did matching semi colon tattoos for my grandmother and myself. He was awesome! We love our new tattoos and he made the experience unforgettable for both of us. I would definitely recommend Eli for any artwork you are looking to have done! I will definitely be back! :)
