My friend flew in from out of town, and we wanted a tattoos together. We had an idea of what we wanted but was looking for an artist who was not only talented but open to new ideas and who would make it a great experience. Just from looking online we found an artist at Icon Murfreesboro who had the talent, but when we talked to him on the phone, he acted as if we were infringing on his time, and didnt feel the need to consult about the tattoos possibilities. We cancelled and went to Lone Wolf downtown. The artist who met us at the door was again not helpful, and rude. We thought we might have to bag the tattoo idea because the vibe from these artists was arrogant, rude and impatient. THEN, we walked up the street to Icon downtown. We didnt think it would go well because wed already been through one Icon artist, but then we met Niko & Jewels. Niko greeted us and was so friendly and had a great personality. Jewels, the artist met with us next. He was so patient, and so artistic. Immediately took our picture and turned it into a piece of art. He had the best attitude and was truly talented. We were not only pleased with his artwork, but his inspiration to bring our idea to life and to really talk to us about what we wanted. He was a prince. If you are looking for a great artist who doesnt think his time is more valuable than yours, go see Jewels at Icon downtown. He really made it an incredible experience, and he is a complete professional, not some punk with an ink gun.

So I decided to get my first tattoo about a month ago. I started scoping places out online and asking around and Icon easily came out on top (based on reviews and word of mouth recs). I went down to Icon to scope it out and was very pleased. The place was clean, the staff was helpful, and I was able to look at artists design books to choose the artist i liked. I wanted a custom tattoo so I chose Matt who came right out (he wasnt busy) and drew exactly what I described. I then made an appt to come back in two weeks. I came back, got started on time, and Matt made me feel very comfortable. He explained what was going to happen and I watched him take all of the tools from individually wrapped plastic bags and observed him washing his hands and putting on fresh gloves. He had great music playing that helped me keep my mind off the pain (yes it hurt). I highly recommend this place. They gave great aftercare directions and the prices were average (i got a tiny tattoo and had to pay the minimum price of $50. makes sense). Ive had my tattoo for a week now and I love it. Because its so small, its basically already healed. If i ever choose to get another tatt, I will go back to Icon :)

I came in about 2 weeks ago to get a small gold ring for my forward helix. Ive had this piercing for roughly 8-10 years and it has been fully healed and healthy. Since I purchased the ring there ($80) I asked the piercer to put it in for me. The piercer started to put it in and couldnt close it properly so went to get another ring. I kept saying ouch! Because it felt like he was pulling really really hard almost ripping it. I felt sore when I left but thought nothing of it. Two weeks later I am having to go to another shop to get it removed and let my piercing heal and close up because its too painful and I dont want to risk infection. I dont know if he didnt sterilize it properly or simply was just too rough but hes completely ruined my perfectly healed, decade old piercing. Changing the earring should not cause this outcome!!!

I moved to Nashville from NY a little over a year ago and decided I finally wanted to go get another piercing. I did my research before going just anywhere, and Icon seemed to have the best reviews, so I trusted and went. All I have to say, is 5 stars isnt enough to rate how great my experience was. I was so nervous to get my nipples done from all the pain horror stories I have heard, (plus I am one to pass out when getting a piercing) but I kid you not when I say I barely felt a pinch!! Bettyann is the best piercer I have had to date. It blew my mind how sweet, comforting, and clear she was with everything. It is a little more expensive, but 100% worth it. Better piercer, better jewelry. I will not go to, or recommend anyone anywhere but to Icon for Bettyann. 100 Stars!!!

After a failed attempt to get my first tattoo at Black 13... I remembered my brother highly recommended the Icon in Murfreesboro. So I called up the Icon in Nashville. From the phone call all the way til I walked out the door with my tattoo, all of the people were awesome and helpful. Shannon was my artist and she was great. All the way from making sure my tat was the right shade of orange to making sure I knew how to care for it. The price was way less than I thought it would be too. I was in and out of their door in around an hour! What a great time of getting my first tat :) Lets just say I know exactly where Ill be going for any other tattoos I want!

I called before i went in to ask about pricing and hours. I didnt get the ladys name, but she was professional, informative and friendly on the phone. I had a Monroe done by Rawn and absolutely love it. Everything was clean and sterile (Rawn changed gloves several times before the piercing) and he talked me through the entire process. He was clear with aftercare instructions and went through them with me (even though I have a visible lip piercing). The pricing was as expected and worth every penny considering the care that goes into the process. Every step was easy and comfortable. Ill definitely go back to Rawn for any future piercings.

Icon lived up to its better reviews-- friendly staff, make you feel at home. I came in twice, once to get a hoop for my cartilage and again to get my lip pierced. Both times, Bettyann was extremely nice and helpful. She offered to put the hoop in for me, free of cost. Other places will charge you. I have met other piercing artists before who are pricks and seem inconvenienced by you coming into the shop. Not at Icon! When Bettyann pierced my lip, she let me lay down and brought me water and glucose tablet when I started to feel faint. If you are looking for a clean, friendly place to get a piercing, go here!

Very professional and nice but I was refused several months ago a vertical clit hood piercing because he said that it was not the right size to have pierced and that it was too small and perhaps risky. I was visiting from out of state and when I returned home and spoke with someone there, she thought the guy perhaps was a bit squeamish because she pierced it for me and I had no problems whatsoever from it and it turned out Great, so I am so glad I did not take his recommendation and just let it go. If you are in a similar situation but want this piercing it can be done by finding the right person to do it for you.
