Our guinea pig passed away last night, and my daughter was upset about it. We went back to petco since we only had the guinea pig for a little over a week and we dont know why she passed away. When we called ahead we were told to bring her in and they would exchange her for another since it had only been 10 days since we adopted her. When we got there the representative was very understanding. Shortly after, the manager came up and asked us questions in a rude manner like, "what were you feeding it?" She accused us of mistreating the guinea pig and said she had no problems with guinea pigs and our daughter must have mishandled her. She made us sign a paper saying we were not allowed to adopt an animal there for a month. She then took the bag the guinea pig was in and slung it around. We had to take our crying child out of the store after she saw her do that. I am never going to petco again after that.

Ive only had 1 problem and that was when I purchased a black light for our pythons home. When we got home and put it in socket, it didnt work. We took it back and they exchanged it but that one didnt work either. Seems they can be damaged during shipping or stocking. Went to the Petco in Poplar Plaza and purchased a working light there. As this is a problem that could happen to any delicate item, I have returned to the Petco on Germantown Pkwy for all my purchases. We go in at least once a week to get out frozen rats and other supplies. The employees have always been helpful, courteous and very knowledgeable. Im glad I am able to have a one stop shop in my neighborhood that I can get excellent service from. I would recommend this store to anyone who cares about their pet and wants a pleasant shopping experience by a knowledgeable, friendly staff.

Took our pug in to get a bath, they finally called us like 6 hours after we had dropped her off, then when we picked her up they said that she had scratched herself bloody and that they wont accept her anymore because of that, even though she only had one small patch of dry skin when we dropped her off! Very rude service in the grooming area! We will not be going back to this location with any of our other pets or for any of our pet needs in the future!

Better stocked than Petsmart. Also, better prices for nail cutting, Jessica M was great. The pet training was a huge waste of money, they said nothing new and well known among everyone that owns a dog. Just a waste. Otherwise, their products are good and they seem to have new better employees!

Poor poor customer service. Myself along with two other guest were wondering the store shortly after the store opened an no associates were to be found. Waited 10 minutes before I had to call the store were two associates came out a back office on their phones.

Terrible store. The general manager is not helpful at all. I have been a long time shopper here but no more since I moved to Cordova. PetSmart has excellent customer service I discovered since my poor pitiful service at this location.
