This place is a godsend. It is a discount store, full of the groceries from other stores that are overstocked or nearing expiration. You will see palettes of canned goods and packaged snacks, dozens and dozens of the same kind of luncheon meat, juice, cereal, and the like. They do carry name brands, as well as the store brands from places like Bi-Lo or other food stores. The prices cannot be beat. They are always well-stocked in meats, though the cuts tend towards the cheap side, and they will have certain items one week and different items the next. But it is THE cheapest place to buy groceries in Chattanooga, save perhaps for Aldi, who has them beat on produce prices most of the time. There are exceptions; I paid $1.09 for a pack of five zucchini squash at UGO just today. Its a little cluttered and dark, and a little out of the way, but its worth the trip to feed a house full of people on a budget.

Only,reason I put 5 star is so it can be seen.. Nice prices but employees are very rude. Stopped in and done some last minute grocery shopping, (as Ive been at the hospital all evening) they were closing in 15 minutes. Plenty of time. I was standing in line when the doors were getting locked. There was about 4 ladies, middle aged older ladies working the cash register. They were grabbing my groceries,and slinging them across the,table to be bagged, just throwing my stuff in bags and tossing them carelessly into a buggy. They Were talking amongst themselves saying how rude it was to come in near closing time. The looks,they were giving us were cold and cruel. They had plans to go out and we were holding them up..This was the evening February 25,2017.

I always shop at UGO and I love getting more for my money helping me to have healthy meals at less expense. I love all their many meat selections and the meat looks and taste great and the prices are so low. All their departments have great deals. If you havent shop there yet you will love it and you get so much more for your money.

Love going there. The black girl ,I believe her name is Emily ?!.... She has AWESOME customer service and very helpful .She was the only cashier and the line was back up,she was fast and didnt mess up not once . Lol I thought she was a manager the. Was she knew all the prices .Please give her a raise. Shes a keeper!

It is a little disorganized inside, but that didnt stop my children and I from having a great time hunting for great deals on great stuff (eg. organic food). There was plenty to be had of both and we quickly filled our cart, but it didnt matter, the cost was SO reasonable!

Good place to go when money low and you need groceries. Now the only issue is. Every week its different groceries and sometimes not a good selection. Also food can be really dated. So watch that.
