Dear Home Depot: My husband and I are in the market for a new refridgerator. After comparing features, we were interested in the LG Model # LMXS30776S MODEL. Using my cell phone, we did a google search on :“LMXS30776S PRICES” which came back with a photo of the model we were interested in, its Model # and the following results: Stores Home Depot $2,198.00 hhgregg $2,799.99 Appliances Con... $2,195.60 AJ Madison $2,199.60 US Appliance $2,794.10 We were in the Myrtle Beach area at the time so we went to the Home Depot in Myrtle Beach #1116 and found that the LMXS30776S model was priced at $2794.00. We asked the sales clerk to honor the price shown on our Google search ( which we pulled up again on our cell phone). He said that was not the on-line price from the Home Depot, and that online search engines falsify &/ or switch prices.and models on product model searches. We then went to their in-store customer service, same answer. We called in the manager from the major appliances. department.. same answer. We had the store’s floor manager phone us…same answer. All four Home Depot employees claimed that search engines regularly mislead customers with inaccurate search results, and refused to honor the price shown on the Google online search results. I have written Google to ask "Why does Google’s search engine pull up a photo and product number for LG LMXS30776S with a price no one find out where it came from, and a price no one will honor? If I use a search engine to find out information about a specific product number, I expect it to give me a clear accurate answer. I should not have to keep digging to determine where that price came from or whether the engine is showing me a photo of the product I requested, but giving me the price for another. If that is how Google results are posted, I will consider Google’s search results are too unreliable for future use". I should also add that I now have serious questions about Home Depot relationship with the Google search engine, and about H.D.s truth in advertising policy. If Googles search results are as blatantly misleading as your store employees claim, I would think that Home Depot would long ago have taken that issue up with Google. After all, it is your stores which are left holding the bag. If Google or any other search engine are not producing accurate results you will honor, Home Depot should be making a public stink about it, rather than allowing your customers to be lured into your store under false pretenses. I certainly intend to tell everyone I know about what happened, and it isnt just Googlereputation I will be discussing..

Awful experience throughout the store but mostly when I was sent to the plumbing section and told there would be a gentleman there by the name of Rusty to help me. He was the rudest person in customer service Ive ever encountered, he told me what I had in my hands were crap and even asked who sent me back to his section and gave his name out for help. He was completely bothered by the situation it seemed

I stopped in here one night after dinner to scope out paint colors. The woman working the area was incredibly helpful. She provided guidance on paint finishes along with suggesting I hold the chips against the white pillar to get a real feel for the hue. I left with numerous samples and felt far less overwhelmed leaving than when I first walked in.

Home Depot is a regular for our family. They always have what we are looking for and if they dont, they will order it for us. The store manager always is friendly and willing to work with you for whatever reason. I visit the Home Depot in Myrtle Beach and Chesterfield, VA on a regular basis. Kudos to the excellent service we receive every time.

Probably the nicest group of people at a Home Depot that you could ever expect. I rented a Penske truck with a tow from them and the staff went out of their way to help me out with my order when there was a hiccup and even helped me figure out how to work the silly cartow. Just a great bunch of people.

I had to return an item that I ended up not needing after a small job at home. The cashier treated the transaction as if I definitely shoplifted the item. Ive shopped Home Depot on the west coast for 25 years and never had a negative experience as I had that day. I now shop at Lowes.

Waited for a hour to try and get a piece of wood cut with no help. Finally left without what I needed. Seems like a trend at HD I live on the west coast and this took place on the east coast. Still need the wood going some were else tomorrow.

I purchase a propane tank at home depot last summer, I was informed I would get a free exchange when it was purchase with the grill. My tank is now empty and they are refusing to honor this commitment.

You can never find anyone in that department. At least at Lowes they have a button to push to get somebody over there you have to hunt from Department to department just to find someone.
