This store certainly lived up to its name~Crabby. The store shelves are very open here with lots of items to see and bump into if the store is at all slightly crowded. I myself looked at a glass teapot and upon picking it up discovered that it was made of VERY thin, cheap glass. The paper-light cover of the pot flew off as I viewed it, since it was not secured AT ALL , though it at first glance appears to have a rubberized fitting, it did not. Very cheaply made item! The cover didnt just fall off, but SHATTERED into a hundred pieces. When I politely explained to the manager what happened, she pointed to the little sign on the shelf that states store guests must buy anything that breaks. "OK," I told the manager, " why dont I pay you the COST of the item, not retail." I thought that was more than fair, since the item was displayed so poorly. "Oh, no, we couldnt do that!", she said. "I suppose I could give you a locals discount of 5 or 10%" Not even an employee discount was offered; I think she could have done much better! She as the retailer could have kept the thing and ordered a cover from the manufacturer easily enough, but no! She had a very "Crabby" and intimidating attitude. The trouble is, this thin, cheap teapot was priced at $40!! I see now how this store makes its money. Display overpriced items openly on the shelves that can easily fall and break. Post lots of tiny signs that state guests must pay full price for any "accidents". BOOM- theyve got a boost in retail sales! I wont be going back to this place ever again, for sure.

Today, Crabby Jacks was my coffee-savior. It was a dilemma: I found myself, improbably, at Barefoot Landing and in need of some good, fresh coffee to go with my lunch. I remembered there being, at one time, a coffee shop at the mall ... but that shop was, like so many, no more -- as I found out only when I had already stopped! But, no problem, because there was Crabby Jacks, with my sought coffee. I was helped by a friendly and vivacious cashier, and a nearby deck chair in a patch of sun proved a perfect setting for my meal. There, I had my little picnic, sipping fresh coffee and reading a good book and watching the Barefoot Landers go about their shopping -- marvelous! If I find myself in the same situation, Crabby Jacks will be my go-to. My thanks goes out to all associated with this business. I am grateful for, and have benefited from, your work and service. Keep it up, ladies and gents!

My boyfriend and I came for an application, the sales associate was very friendly and informative. However this elder lady that was in the store was very rude and not polite at all. No one was in the store and she practically asked us to leave. I honestly dont think there was a problem but as a manager she should have carried herself in a very different way. I have visited other stores affiliated with this company and have never been treated this way.
