Do NOT use DriveTime. After having our Honda Odyssey van for only 30 days from purchasing it from DriveTime, we had to have a new engine. They graciously decided to cover the cost for us, which we were so thankful for. They sent it to their contracted mechanic, Sarks Automotive, who replaced our engine. Sarks did such a terrible job that we have had 2 separate mechanics, including the Honda dealership tell us that it was the worst engine install they have ever seen...and this is after Jeremy (the owner) told us that he would let his own wife and kids drive the van. Turns out it was a ticking time bomb, there were parts missing, fluids leaking, stuff being held by zip ties, and parts that were not replaced that should have been during the engine install. I have videos, pictures, and printouts from the dealership to prove it all. And to make it worse, when we asked him about it, he said if there wasnt a performance problem, then there was no problem. We told DriveTime and their response was, "what do you want us to do about it, we just sell cars." We called corporate, who claimed they cant help us because they dont have an account for us since we paid cash. We called their warranty company who supposedly covered the engine install, turns out, they did it "off the books" so the warranty company has no record of it ever being done, so we are screwed without a car or the money/work done to fix it. And to think, we traded in our Pilot that we owned and maintained perfectly to get this involved in this nightmare! Ive been driving my 2 kids, friends children, and family around in this piece of crap. Thank you God for protecting us from any major accidents! Save yourself the headache and RUN, do not walk, and buy a car from any other dealership!

Showroom people very nice and ask for review before you leave with your car, after you leave you are not treated well with warranty company or Service. Headlights worked when did the check at purchase but after I left show room and drove at night they were aimed in wrong direction and moved. When I went for service week or so after in network company wasnt able to repair and I had to take to dealership and pay up front waiting on repayment for over 7 weeks. Under warranty had to have new transmission, waiting week for them to approve repair and shipping part to a muffler shop who was in network to do repair, going two and half weeks without a car. Five months later transmission issues take back to muffler shop and now told they dont work on transmissions to repair, I will be responsible to find a transmission shop but would pay as if in network. Towing of car they will only pay 75.00 towards. Take to transmission shop told bad transmission but will not pay 100.00 hour labor to them, I have to take back to muffler shop so they can put it on for 70.00 an hour. No car for a week now and nothing in transit with another transmission until they make repair company troubleshot transmission one more time. Also paid on car two years havent gotten anywhere, you pay interest first. I was told after few months of making payments bi weekly could change to monthly but when I called they told me thats not how they worked. I was miss informed by my Salemen. I will never pay from drive time again if I pay off this car.

Brian helped me trade-in my 2004 Trailblazer for an 8-passenger 2011 Traverse without issue. He and the team went above and beyond my expectations to meet my needs. I explained we needed a bigger vehicle as our family has gotten bigger but not destroy our budget. I was surprised after the test drive to find out that I was approved for a lower payment than originally quoted. 2 factors of course, the fact the Traverse is my 3rd vehicle with DriveTime (on-time payments HELP! a great deal), and Brian did all that he could with the support of Shannon! Thanks guys! This is why I keep recommended DT to my friends and family. Some may have had a bad experience with Customer Service and/or the vehicle they purchased but believe me when I say I was skeptical of any Dealership getting me into a vehicle because of my credit until I spoke to a DT salesman in 2011 and I was approved for the Trailblazer I just traded-in after 3 years. Since then it has been all good for me. Just remember not all Dealerships, Sales personnel, and Service personnel are the same. So dont let one bad apple dictate how you view the bushel. Look around and find a salesman/woman who will listen and genuinely understands the difference between WANTS and NEEDS, like Brian at DriveTime Laurens Road, Greenville, SC. Thats my two cents!

From the moment I pulled into the lot, I was greeted by to sales representatives. Nicole and Kathy. I told them I had been to their website and was approved for a vehicle. They took me inside, gave me a water bottle and ask a few questions before I went out to look at several cars I was approved to purchase. We went to the lot, I did test drives and decided on a car I was sure I would not be approved for. Because I am on disability and did not have a weekly pay stub, it took a bit longer to verify my income. The supervisor came over after viewing my short application and I was approved. Nicole was able to find a very clever way to get an updated copy of my income. I am 57 years old. Bad credit. These girls did not stop until I was in a beautiful red car 2013, washed, filled with gas and ready to go. No pressure, treated with the utmost respect , as if I had à million dollars and perfect credit! Try going to ANY dealership and getting awesome service. It has nerver happened fot me! Most other dealerships pull up your credit score, if It is not at least 700 or you have 2-5k down payment. End of story! This DriveTime on Laurens Rd in Greenville, SC, really care. Love my car, my experience and Kathy and Nicole!

We started by looking at drivetimes inventory online. It was a moderate inventory, my wife found a 2010 Honda cr-v loaded with low miles. We made an appointment for 9:15 the following morning. We arrived a few minutes before they opened, found the car and took a quick look, the car was in very good condition cosmetically. We went to the front door a few minutes before opening time and a very tall extremely pleasant gentleman came and unlocked the door early (first good sign of customer service). We were greeted and was assigned Shane to help us. Within 20 minutes we were approved given an exact down payment amount and was preparing to go on the test drive. Took the car out drove great we liked the vehicle and decided to go forward with the purchase. Within another hour to hour and fifteen we were leaving the lot with our new car. Absolutely nothing but good things to say about these guys and gals very professional very helpful not at all pushy or deceitful. We would highly recommend, this place caters to sub prime lending however this company is more than that their cars seem to be high quality and prices within kbb. Would definitely buy from drivetime again.

Stay away from their mechanic! I purchased a vehicle from Drive Time and had a good experience buying it. Under the warranty the engine needed replacement, and the GM at Drive Time was great to work with. Fast forward 8 months and the engine is causing trouble. I took it to two mechanics, one being the dealer of that make of vehicle. Both were appalled at how bad the engine install was. There were zip ties holding this engine in place! Pieces that should have been replaced were not and were now leaking to the point where the engine could go out at any moment - on the vehicle that my family drives going 80mph down the highway! Contacted the original mechanic, offered nothing but excuses and would not back the install. Drive Time wont work with me - says its the mechanics issue, not theirs. Even though they paid the mechanic to perform work that "is the worst engine install I have seen in 25 years of doing business" according to one place I took it. Might be a good place to buy a car, but dont let Sarks Automotive touch it!
