A friend had been telling me about Bargain Hunt for some time, so I was super excited to find one when I was in town. The shelves were practically empty (which I understand is a risk, considering the nature of the store, but still.) I did find a few sweaters and dresses that I wanted to try on. Most of them were not really what Id consider to be a "bargain", but I was trying to keep an open mind. I did find a really cute black sweater in my size, that was just what Id been looking for. When I took it back to try it on, I realized there was not one, not two, but three huge pieces of yarn detached from the sleeves. Im not sure that it could have been repaired, and would have continued to unravel more. I also found flaws, some major, some more minor, in almost everything I tried on. But the most unsettling thing was one of the employees. I have long red hair, which is evidently "his thing." He kept following me around, mumbling at me as I shopped (and not just stocking or doing his job - actively following me.) I wish Id said something to a manager, because it was honestly getting pretty creepy, but I just wanted to get out of this store as fast as I possibly could.

My daughter and I accidentally happened upon this store and wanted to see what it was. We discovered that it is a discount store with tons of brand name merchandise. You will find the shelves lined with a mix of returned and "damaged" items. I use the word damaged loosely because I believe most of the pallets they receive from other stores are damaged but the merchandise inside is just fine. They have a discount system where the longer an item sits on their shelf the more you save. So you could find items 40 to 50 percent off their retail price! My wife and I have bought many baby items there but they also have everything from home goods to appliances to clothes to toys.

My experience with the deals at Bargain Hunt have been either out of this world or horrible. There doesnt seem to be a middle ground. Definitely worth a visit, but keep expectations low. The employees are super kind and always helpful. I will say their dressing rooms are a joke. They are only about shoulder height and you can easily see the person across from. you.

My new favorite store! I pretty much always walk out of there with something I have always wanted (or needed) at a 60% or more discount compared to other retailers. Its a fun store to shop and neatly organized considering the amount of shipment they get each week.

You really have to hunt to find a good bargain (thus the name) but I have gotten SO MANY unreal deals there. Love this place!
