Definitely a standard Pet Supplies Plus store as far as dog food and dog related merchandise and variety of products goes. The store is always clean and (mostly young, college-age) staff is always more than willing to offer assistance for when you have questions or need help. One visit in particular, I was impressed by the way a Pet Supplies Plus employee responded to my pup, who went from his silly in the middle of everything & try say hi to everyone self to a more timid reserved way when offered a treat by the PSP associate. I really appreciated how the PSP team member Neil down to his level and attempted to offer the tree in multiple different ways so that my dog would feel less shy and nervous to befriend him. I ended up taking his treat home for later but the care and respect towards my dog in those few minutes from the young employee really stood out. I appreciate that the employees selected for this location are clearly ones that have no qualms for being around the pets that are brought into the store and have the knowledge to do so properly (& clearly safely)!! So, thank you to the management of this Pet Supplies Plus, as well as that employee whos name I never made note of to commend before going home.

I LOVE pets supplies plus in Five Points. The employees are SO nice and always very personable. They give my dog treats and she loves going there. One girl who works there also gives me some training tips...which are very helpful! They have the best brands of dog food and cat food. I also used to have an aquarium, all of the supplies were from here. A few years later, when I decided to downsize the aquarium, they took the gouramis and neon tetras back which was really nice. They have a dog wash station in the back which is fantastic, especially if your dog is difficult to wash like mine. Prices are average...but they will beat competitor prices if you find a lower price somewhere else.

A stray wandered into my yard, very friendly, had collars but no tags. Called ahead to see if they could check for microchips and they agreed that they would see us if we could be there in 5 minutes. It was at 245 pm. We were already on the way & had gotten there before 250. A cashier informed us the vets had left because they decided they didnt want to wait for us AFTER AGREEING to waiting for us while we were on the phone. They wasted our time & this poor dogs who just needed to find his owners.

We had our dog groomed today, and it was terrible. Huge clumps of hair were falling out of her on the way out the door. We paid extra for a furminator treatment and I dont think the groomer even brushed her. Total waste of $54.50. The cashier mentioned the groomer was doing the job of two people - guess thats why it was such a bad job. He offered to speak to her, but theyve already lost our business.

Employees need training or re-training in Customer Service. Been in store several time for sw fish & supplies but employees dodge you, act like they are busy or im not standing there looking for help!?!? Dont get it? Need Mgt help. Store is nice, organized and close to home but need more than than to run store... Re-train your employees and expect more business...

Staff made an attempt at "friendly & helpful" when I was looking for the best shampoo for my Dane mix. I was treated as if I knew nothing of "natural" ingredients & was given an unnecessary 101 course on chemicals. I will again go back to shopping online, with another retailer.

I like the brands they carry. I must have gone on the wrong day. I walked past every associate and not one of them said anything to me. I even walked past the manager. I will continue to go to the West Columbia store. They are friendly.

In the 8 years Ive been patronizing this store, Ive only really ever had one problem, which management quickly and courteously resolved. This store is clean and well stocked and hosts adoptions events for a local agency every Saturday!

good food , reasonable $$$$, big supply of everything. But I would stay away frm the groomer. She scalded my 2 1/2 lb dog!!! he was screaming & the dumb broad had no clue until I pulled the sprayer out of her HAND!!!! Cant fix

Everyone else is great but the groomers. One tried to feed my puppy french fries when I got there and kept talking down to me. I would not recommend the grooming department but the rest of the store has helpful and friendly staff.

This is the only place in about 30 miles of my house that sells live feeder mice and rats. Staff is always nice and helpful and the reptiles they stock here are top notch.
