I would liked to have given a higher rating but given the results of our experience this is fair. Place has very friendly staff. Mid-quality furniture for a fair price. Your best bet is to find something you like, check to make sure its in stock, & plan to have a truck to take it home yourself. They do offer layaway & delivery for a reasonable price. We ordered a couple of mattress sets, a bed frame, and a recliner and chose a 3 month payoff with delivery for all of it. We paid up & arranged for delivery, but the recliner was out of stock. Supposed to get "ours" - "in a few days." They were going to call us to coordinate delivery when it arrived. After 2 weeks no word. When we called to check on what was going on - had to check with manager. Still "supposed to be in a few days." This is nearly 4 full months from putting down our deposit with ordering it. They offered an "upgrade" with immediate delivery. My husband agreed on a different chair & it was delivered that day. The chair we got was about the same quality but lower quality covering - it was all they had in stock. It came in two pieces & was not completely put together properly. My husband had to work with the side himself to get it to properly lock in place. The mattresses dont feel the same to me, but seem fine. All in all not a bad experience, but nothing great either. If you need some inexpensive furniture & find what you like this is as good a place as any. Dont expect to get high quality for a low price.

DO NOT BUY HERE!!!!!! I purchased a seven piece dining set, two beautiful lamps, and a sofa from them (along with an extra $100 warranty on the sofa) back in February. The dining set has held up nicely, but its now June and a lamp already seems to have an inexplicable short in it. It will turn on and off whenever it wants. As to the couch with that extra warranty? Yeah right! A very, very large spring broke on one side and now the entire seat visibly sags. No support is left whatsoever. There are also springs pushing up, ripping through the fabric and jabbing into my legs when I sit down. Ive contacted the store and was told to email corporate with photos. Four weeks later and STILL no response. This place is a JOKE. Not to mention that we paid extra for delivery and they were over two hours late, then forgot both lamps and said that they would bring it the next day. (Then straight up requested a tip!) After numerous calls to the company, no lamps. I eventually had to pick them up later in the week myself. Okay, maybe the delivery is a third party, but that doesnt excuse the lack of assistance when they visibly see me struggling to get my toddler out the door while trying to balance two large lamp boxes at the same time. PLEASE do not buy from this company! You WILL regret it! If it seems too good to be true, it IS.

I ordered furniture on 3/11/17. The guy said to allow 2 weeks for it to come. 3 weeks passed so I called to inquire about my order and was told oh, its coming. Cant give you a date but its coming. Looked down at the fine print of my receipt and at the bottom, estimated date of delivery is today 4/15/17. Your customer service sucks! These folks should be informed enough to say hey it will be a month before your furniture comes which will allow the public to make an informed decision on whether or not to still do business with you. Well today is 4/15/17 and I doubt I will get a call. I will allow one additional week (which will be a whole 6 weeks from date ordered) before heading to the store and requesting my money to be refunded. Ive been waiting patiently, but my patience has been worn paper thin! NEVER again though! This post is to be continued.....

I tell you what, when I went in here I did not expect much in the way of customer service but boy was I wrong! From the get go I was met with some of the friendliest staff this side of the Mason-Dixon! It took them no less than 10 minutes to analyze what I was looking for in the way of a new couch and helped me pick a great piece from a large selection and the price I was given was the best I could find in a nearly 20 mile radius! I recommend this store to everyone in the area, if you like great quality for low prices and being treated like a VIP come to this store. Just Tell em Joe sent ya!

Service was excellent, employees were very friendly and eager to help. Lance R. was a great sales rep, providing information about other offers like the mattress protector and other furniture. I have gone to a few stores to try and find a good mattress and this was definitely a great experience. Store is clean and has an easy floor to navigate. All items and prices are clearly displayed, and they have a great selection. I would highly recommend this store to my friends.

Went in there yesterday, got a great deal. I seen a commercial and me and the Mr. Decided to head up there and see what it was about. Spent a little more than I wanted but that was my choice cause I wanted to get the sectional I wanted. It was perfect for me. Patrick was very helpful and friendly. I do plan to purchase some end tables soon! They have a vast collection of sofas and sectionals. There is sure to be something you like!

Great experience. I purchased living room furniture plus guestroom furniture. I find the quality high and the price low. I took advantage a managers special and was given a further discount as I bought everything at once. Delivery was the next day and they even helped me get things out of the boxes and do some of the set up. I would definitely buy from them again

All I can say is Lance is AWESOME!!! I was only here for maybe ten minutes and found a Beauty Sleep World Class Recharge mattress for $300 less than anywhere else Id searched, AND it came with a 10-year warranty! American Freight has exceptional customer service...definitely check them out if youre moving to the Columbia area and need new furniture!!!

Service was good until layaway was paid off. As soon as that was done they suddenly couldnt get the furniture I paid for. Kept getting the run around and never my furniture. I had to go all the way to Charleston SC to pick it up MYSELF! DONT BUY FROM THEM UNLESS U HAVE CASH ON THE SPOT!!! Oh and this happened to me twice!!!!

The customer service was amazing. Lance was such a great help and he described each price and piece of furniture that would be great for us to have. Every piece of furniture was unique such as the sectionals which are comfortable an at a reasonable price I would highly recommend this place for furniture.
