I have a few favorites there, Deb, Matt, and a couple others cant remember names but can always remember faces , the crew there is mostly amazing except for the few bag eggs that they have working there this is why Im giving five stars. With that being said if there wasnt a GREAT manager and the few wonderful staff who work there I would give this place 2 stars only because theres this one girl whom is very rotten and very OBVIOUSLY mean and rude, she used to play with my son before she worked at the service desk, very nice my son loved going there and enjoyed playing with her while I cashed out, then I dk what happened she started working at customer service desk and I believe that was the worst choice ever for her, she says rude things when I go to check out and says these things very obviously where I can hear her and I do believe she needs to remember I am the customer she is the worker. Working in customer service half my adult years and Ive never seen a girl treat someone the way she treats me.... felice I believe her name is.... wont ever go to her for help as she is just down right rude and very unpleasant to be around. Other than that I LOVE DEBB!!!!!! <3<3

There is a serious problem with the deli dept. in Cumberland - 70 mendon road. I watched at least 5 or more people walk away. The people that are waiting on customers are pleasant, but when they talk to each other they both STOP - meanwhile there are numerous customers waiting, as they soon start walking away. Also, some of the perhaps inexperienced help take too long to slice a given deli product by the pound, they weigh, go back to the slicer, slice a few more, weigh, go back and slice a few more,...A good deli person will be able to slice a pound on the first trip/try and only be off by a slice or two. This is an excellent example of time is money There needs to be additional training so the deli person can learn to slice and work more efficiently. Perhaps a chart with a number of slices, with several different products, showing how many average slices, based on slicing thick or thin. Dave T. Lincoln R.I.

Its custy, dirty floors. The cashier was too busy flirting with the bag boy to notice something was wrong with her cash register. Finally the manager shows UP& he isnt very bright either. So they move me to another register & now after unloading all my groceries, moving me that an unopened register. by the time I get there I now have to wait in line behind another customer while they take care of him & the cashier comes over to flirt with the manager. In the meantime there are very young children running all over the place and this is at 9:30 pm on a school night. Dont see the parents anywhere in sight. The floors were so disgusting I wouldnt let my dog eat off them. I did not realize that Cumberland was still in ghetto territory. Im looking elsewhere to shop. Someplace where a broom & mop are not foreign concepts. ,

5 stars to "Van" in the meat department! On a busy Saturday, he was the only meat cutter and there were some really big meat sales going on. He helped people with a smile on his face! The steak was out so he said I should do my other shopping and he would have them ready in a bit. I came back a bit later and he apologized that they werent ready. I said no problem and he proceeded to cut some great steaks for me. He again apologized for the wait but I was fine with it. It is a shame that Stop and Shop doesnt support its employees by giving them the help they need. It was way too busy for only one meat cutter on a Saturday. But, thank you, Van, for your help and groom humor!!!

I prefer Stopnshop over other grocery stores, only because of the familiarity factor. At this Stopnshop, there is a designated corner for self checkout. This could make one feel under scrutiny, but I found it very helpful. The older man in attendance helped me look up a produce code because I had forgotten my glasses and even bagged my items! Overall, though, I found the vibe of the employees uninterested and not forthcoming with information. Maybe morale is low? Mostly, I felt that the restroom was at the rear left wall. This makes it difficult for people who may have mobility issues, the sight impaired, moms with young children and customers at large. Needs updating!

The manager here is a piece of worthless crap! I went to cash my check like I do every week with no issue and the dippy they have at customer service tells me Im not authorized to cash checks....hello little miss dopes who texts three quarters of her shift! I do this every Friday! So I ask for the worthless manager who refused to help saying he couldnt authorize anything....really! Youre the manager dope! So are you there as an ornament...because its sure not for good looks or brains! The rest of the people in this store are zombies and invalids also.....I should know better though considering the ghetto area!

Of course I didnt check my receipt before I left until I got back to pawtucket. I then realized I was not only overcharged on a sale item; I was over charged for an extra item that was suppose to be on sale. Had to go all the way back. Clerk would not give me the sale price as sale was all over. Very rude. I had to wait in line at service desk as she was letting her friends pay for their groceries there instead of going to a checkout counter as the rest of us have to. I could go on and on but I think you get the idea of why I wont be going back.

I use this Stop & Shop on a semi-regular basis, but I prefer the one at Lincoln Mall. Neither are easy for me. Both have good RIPTA access to the store. Neither have bike racks. So you would think theyd be equal, but they are not. This one has a smaller, or more spread out, allergy-food section. So it is generally hard for me to find what I want and need. Often they dont even have what I want and need. So I pretty much just utilize this store when its en route or I need a highly volatile item liked bagged ice on a 100° day.

I felt it was a terrible experience, the store was busy,I had two items,I waited in line for a good twenty minutes and when it was almost my turn the cashier said Im closed,my light is off.The lines were so long ,apparently she could not see all her customers. I Refuse to use the self check outs,I am a customer not a cashier!

This store is starting to look a bit tired.. Often looks run down and disorganized. The store opened in 1994, its starting to show its age. This location has lowered its prices to compete with Market Basket, in Attleboro - - So thats a plus.
