I took my Mossberg 835 12 ga. shotgun in to get a new magazine installed. They said stop in beginning of next week and it will be done, and cost about $40. I went in as instructed and nothing was done. They told me a camo magazine wasnt available anymore, only a blued magazine was available. I told them to order the blued one and go from there. Out of curiosity, I called Mossberg and a camo magazine cost $25 shipped to my front door. My next move was up to Big Buck, and they gave me a line of BUCK saying their supplier couldnt get it. Yadda Yadda Yadda. So, moral of the story..... 1. They lied to me about the availability of the magazine. 2. They were going to put aftermarket Brand X garbage parts on my gun. 3. They wasted my time and money running around like a jagoff. This was my first and ONLY time to Big Buck... dont waste your time going there.

I see a lot of reviews about the staffs arrogance or attitude and I got a little of that, but if you can back that attitude up who cares. I have made several purchases here and they know their equipment. They have opinions on the guns and arent afraid to tell you about them which makes the decision process a lot easier. Most of the employees know their guns in and out. The prices are fair and the service kills anything I have received at Field and Stream or Dicks. They leave you alone initially while you are looking, but if you are serious and not just window shopping they will make sure you make the right purchase. Id rather spend a few extra bucks there than waste a lot of money on an ill advised purchase somewhere else. Would love to see it expand and get even better inventory.

I ordered a gun from this shop. After several weeks I phoned to check on it. They confirmed the order was indeed placed and that I should be patient. A few weeks later, I was at a different gun shop and asked whether they could supply the gun I had ordered from Big Buck. This store owner said he could have the gun in 3 days time. I called back to Big Buck to get an update on my order, now 6 weeks old. The salesman said he would look into it and call me back. No return phone call so I stopped on my way home from work. The salesman I had spoken with said he forgot to check. He went in the back and came out and told me the order had never been placed. I immediately cancelled the order. Big Bucks manager then gave me static getting my deposit back. I will NEVER set foot in Buck again!

I have trusted and counted on this shop for local quality since my teenage years. Now being in my thirties, I called on them to pick up some snake shot before leaving for camp during the hot summer snake season. They told me they were open until 8 pm. I called them at 7:40 pm and said that I am ten minutes away. They confirmed that they had the ammo in stock and suggested I hurry because they close in twenty minutes. When I arrived there at 7:55 pm, there wasnt a light on in the store and they have left me with an empty promise. I paid their slightly higher prices for goods, knowing that I was giving business to a local business run by good honest men. Unfortunately, I guess I was wrong. They have now become another example of what is going wrong with our country.

Every time I go in there they seem kind of surly or standoffish when I ask a question. One time I asked about their firearms transfer fee and the guy told me with a slight attitude that they dont like to transfer firearms they want to sell them. Another time I asked for a particular box of ammo and he put a different one in the bag, same caliber but different weight than I asked for. Also once I felt like I was being ridiculed for my taste in firearms. This shop is very close to the range so its convenient but I generally try to do my business elsewhere .

Purchased a Kel-Tec P3AT from these guys and they were fine. They only had the one in the case so I ended up with that one. Guy that waited on me was attentive and showed me several pistols. Offered to order in the Walther PPS I was considering but I would have had to buy it sight unseen. Ammo selection wasnt great for the .380 but they seemed reasonably priced. Ive been back a couple of times, once to look at a holster and the second just to pick up some ammo. Both times I did get good service but it wasnt exactly energetic.

I had a great experience here. Staff was friendly and helpful on the phone & when I showed up at the store I was met with a hello from an employee behind the counter. They showed me what I came in to look at as well as some things they suggested. The conversation was good and the prices seemed fair. Handgun selection wasnt enormous, but had a good variety. I would recommend calling ahead to see if they have what you are looking for if you are trying to find something specific.

Very helpful and friendly staff helped me buy my son his first rifle. I did not experience any of the rudeness written by other reviewers. I made three separate visits in the process of buying the rifle and worked with three different staff members (and saw them interact with other customers). They were always helpful. They had a good selection and in fact were the only store around with the rifle I wanted. I got a fair price and will absolutely shop there again.

I was reluctant because of the low rating and reviews, but my experience want bad! While browsing, at least 3 different employees asked if I needed help. One employee spent a few minutes talking to me about the different prefers and primers. Another spent a few minutes showing me compatible bullets and he even opened the box to show me. I found the pricing to be fair. Im going again soon.

Typical shop with staff that never achieved much success growing up so, now they act empowered with over-confidence by treating the customers as if they finally they achieved stardom by selling firearms. I highly suggest staying out of their fantasy world surroundings and take your business to a store without personal baggage of the store staff.

This store is run by zombies. I have been in there half a dozen times and have yet to see an employee with ANY personality. They dont even look you in the eye. You can tell they hold customers in absolute contempt. Im in the market right now for a new Glock and even though this is the closest gun store to me, they will NOT get my business.

its an alright gun store. There are a few very helpful staff members but also a couple who seem annoyed by your presence in their store. I bought a brand new gun from this shop and the helpful staff members were great through the process. The cost of a gun transfer at this place is absurd so keep that in mind when purchasing.

I recently had to settle an estate and sell off some firearms that belonged to my father. The staff at Big Buck were helpful and honest. The process was quick and simple, and the prices they gave us were extremely fair - some exceeding what I expected to get from a resale shop. Great experience.
