WEDDING PARTIES – BEWARE! I’ve tried writing a post about the many problems with Mainline Custom Clothiers, but it got long. It was over 1000 words when I realized I needed to just write a list of my highlights to warn anyone who may be considering MCC for their wedding tuxedos. MCC has a website with a form to submit your sizes. This form was did not work for me or my groomsmen. MCC does not consistently answer their phone during business hours, which would be fine if the voice mailbox wasn’t full. You can’t leave messages. The owner, Larry, is very disorganized. He lost the sizes for my groomsmen, which made me have to track them down and resend to him. I ended up being the channel my wedding party had to go through to get their sizes to MCC. I bought 4 tux shirts, rather than rent them, for my groomsmen and myself. They were not delivered with our tuxes. We had rental shirts, and Larry claimed that I arranged to buy 4 new rental shirts. When I returned the tuxes after the wedding, Larry tried to give me 4 new (non-rental) tux shirts in packages. These were the shirts I was supposed to have for my wedding, apparently he forgot them. I did not get an explanation for why Larry had said I bought rental shirts. Received scuffed shoes for one groomsmen. One of the groomsmens tuxedo shirts (the rental we ended up with) had blood flecks on the collarbone. Luckily we had an extra shirt on hand. The owner didn’t apologize or offer any amends for the above issues. I gave MCC 2 stars because the Ralph Lauren tuxedos were nice, if you ignore the scuffs and the blood. Everything about the experience was a huge mess. I do not recommend MCC for anything, especially weddings.

First of all, let me say that the owner of this store is one of the most irritating people I have ever met. I recently got married, my groom and male bridal party members all got their suits here. Unfortunately, after we realized that this was a bad decision, there wasnt time to go somewhere else. One of my groomsmen had to go about three separate times, attempting to get his measurements taken, until someone was actually there during their posted business hours. THEN, about a week before the wedding, we were called asking why this same groomsmen had not e-mailed in his measurements. When informed that this groomsmen had come in to be measured, the owner stated he thought he had lost the measurements. My husbands tux had to be re-altered upon pickup, making us go back later in the afternoon to pick it up (he wanted us to pick it up the morning of the wedding, we insisted this was not going to happen). Once actually at the wedding site, about four people (my husband, his father, and two groomsmen) had trouble with the fit of their pants, which my seamstress (who had luckily come along to help me get into my dress!) had to fix. Ultimately, everyone did look great, and the suits were good quality. However, the service and issues we had would definitely lead me to encourage people to go elsewhere.

Feel like a sucker. A few months ago I opted not to drive to Ernestos in Philly to have a shirt tailored for my wedding because I didnt want to spend a whole morning going to and from, looking for parking, etc., so I thought Id try and support a local business here in WC. I had no idea how awkward the shopping experience would be. Larry was aloof, rude, and condescending. Socially inept. I basically paid about what I would have paid in Philly--maybe a tad more!--because I was on a time crunch. The appearance of the shop is so haphazard that I wondered if it would still even be open five weeks later when I was going to pick them up, and I needed to call to make sure theyd even be done on time. Just looking at the shirts I had made here ticks me off. I regret wasting my money on such ill-fitting (yet supposedly custom) poor-quality fabrics and poor salesmanship. I wouldnt dream of going here again.

I went to this store when I saw shirts a discounted price hanging outside. I got two nice Italian made button up shirts for around 60 bucks and a blazer. Not bad. They were worth more than I paid for them. I cant say how well the custom shirts are because I didnt have one made. There are some nice suits in there. If you are walking by in Dub C take a look. Buy if there is a sale.

I love the clothing they have there, but the owner comes off as a sleazy salesman. A shirt said 50% off, which he confirmed when I asked him about it. At the cash register he tells me that the listed MSRP price on the tag is the 50% off price but then offers me an extra 20% off. This has happened more then once and I have gotten sick of it.

1. Although this place is named "main line" it is half an hour from the main line in West Chester, PA. 2. I wasnt in the mood to deal with a pushy salesman on my lunch break. I wanted to get in and get out. Please dont tell me you dont have what I need so you can try to sell me something that I dont need.

Larry has been running this business his whole life. I have learned to be patient with him because I know that I will be receiving the utmost top quality clothing. He is sincere and loves to talk to everyone, I recommend everyone to go there and enjoy their custom experience.

Just purchased a couple of suits from Larry, cant say enough about the quality of the suits and how I was treated at this shop. I wore the suit the next day to a business meeting and received many compliments. If your looking to upgrade your wardrobe you should pay a visit.

Larry is always so friendly and knowledgeable! He did an excellent job outfitting me, my groomsmen, my father, and my father-in-law for my wedding. I had such a good experience I picked up a beautiful 3 piece suit from him after the wedding!
