RIP OFF While traveling on the east coast, my trusty macbook pro purchased in 2009 developed problems with its trackpad. How do I know this was a trackpad problem? Because I took the machine to the Apple store in Willow Grove and they provided the diagnosis. Apple, at least in the store I went to, does not work on machines over five years old so they suggested alternative sources for repairs. I selected one, G2 in Washington Crossing and took my machine there. I told the G2 rep the Apple tech support diagnosis. Not good enough for us, said the G2 rep, it will cost you a non-refundable $80 for us to re-diagnose the problem. I like this machine, so I ponied up the money. Four days later, I returned to the store to find out the diagnosis was still a track pad problem! Though the $80 diagnosis fee would have applied to the repair cost, G2s estimate for the repair was twice the amount of a quote I was given by my repair shop in Northern California. I reclaimed my machine and will have it repaired when I get back to Nor-Cal. Outcome: one, a wasted $80 for a pre-ordained diagnosis, two, a wasted four days waiting for this bogus evaluation, and three, the unpleasant experience of someone trying to wildly overcharge for a minor repair. No kindness to travelers at G2.

If you purchase anything from G2 Computers (near Kohls), read your receipt carefully and be mindful of their ridiculous return (or lack of) policy. First you will be subject to a 20% restocking fee but, if you purchased it more than 7 days ago, you cant return it at all! No store credit. No nothing! Last time I will ever set foot in their establishment again. Owner Hansa Shah was rude and treated me like a criminal for not reading her ridiculous return policy ahead of time. To add insult to injury her staff was not trained properly and I was forced to wait for over 20 minutes while she came from another location because she was the only person who knew how to do the "return" I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THERE AGAIN. EVER.

I have used G2 before and was skeptical to back after reading the review below, but convenience and familiarity drew me back. Suffice it to say, I was having a mechanical issue with my notebook that I was sure would be covered under my AppleCare warranty, dropped it off to G2 and had it repaired and ready within one day at no cost. I am not familiar with their prices for service not covered by an Apple warranty, but would not hesitate to go back for similar problems in the future.

Left my computer there to get a diagnostic. They seem experienced, professional, and like they wont waste your time with getting you what you need. But the guy who helped me today was just not super friendly and almost seemed a little bothered by me or he was just in a bad mood. Hopefully their customer service is more helpful and friendly in general and this was just a one instance thing.

G2 may be convenient but they are not an actual apple authorized service provider and charge fees that apple would not dare to charge. I have brought multiple computers in to get serviced and G2 did not fix any of the problems. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Do not go here for anything, they scam their customers into arbitrary repair costs and labor. Once they have taken you for a changing diagnostic fee based on time of day and mood, they will then proceed to fleece you on fake estimates.

after a phone conversation I drove to the store and was told they would not repair my laptop because they had to provide me the memory and parts. I had already purchased them at a 3rd of the price they wanted to charge!
