Jim, the store manager, was very rude and dismissive concerning the purchase of gift cards. The cashier incorrectly stated that total gift card purchases were limited to $500 and cited a store sign. Upon having her lead to the sign it was discovered that she misquoted the information on the sign and was wrong. She asked a manager, Alyssa, who came to assist. Alyssa asked Jim about the policy and he stated that the sign was wrong although the same sign has been diseminated to Walgreens nationally. He was asked to reference the policy and initially was rude, dismissive and curt with his responses along with giving an ultimatum of "take it or leave it." After attempting to assure him that simply clarification was requested on what seemed such an absurd policy that contradicts the posted signage and no contention was being sought, he quickly left to retrieve the policy. After a few minutes Alyssa went to search for the corporate memo as well. She returned after a short while and sincerely apologized for the misunderstanding and stated that the sign and verbiage was correct and that personnel had incorrectly set in place prohibitions not synonymous with policy. Alyssa, you are lauded for your courage and your willingness to resolve conflict while maintaining professionalism. I pray that your attitude is infectious throughout your organization and that you receive the accolades you deserve during your tenure with Walgreens.

Ive been sitting at the Walgreens healthcare clinic for two hours now. I finally got taken back and she told me she couldnt treat me because I had a mobile copy of my insurance card. She had me walk down to photo and print it out. I came back and she had already taken another patient. In my time here, I had to buy a bag of cough drops and the photo of my insurance card, and wasted two hours that I couldve been working from home. You have wasted my time and my money. Currently, I can hear the nurse practitioner joking with her current patient even though she knows Im sitting out here waiting, with a fever, coughing on everything. Each appointment has taken over half an hour because shes chatting with people. Its a slap in the face. This is the worst healthcare experience Ive ever had.

Waited in the pharmacy line for 5-7 minutes then when it was my turn one of the pharm tech was told (by another pharm tech a white girl) to help the drive thru and she will assist the customers in line but instead of starting with me she started with another customer that just walked up. When I voiced my opinion she ignored me. Thank fully Stacee, the pharm tech whos line I first in saw what happened and assisted me. After all that I only had one question for the pharmacist that took less than a minute. And still got attitude from the white girl. Why should I accept being treated that way?

Basic pharmacy..... but since Im transgendered, they seem to treat me like I was a criminal. Its actually kind of disturbing to say the least. Actually, if you knew anything about TS, we have lower sex drives than anyone so its usually not something to concern yourself with. Im just there for the occasional Red Vines, velcro strips, and cat food. But now, Im getting a little sick of the hostile treatment. Maybe Ill just go to the CVS across the street instead....
