Sad to say , but I have been shopping and donating at Medical Missions for YEARS . Today I purchased a Corning Ware Percolator Coffee pot( $10.00) , among other things. After arriving home, 10 minutes later, I realized the all important lid that keeps the coffee grounds from spilling out into the pot was missing. I immediately called on the phone to speak with Marilyn , the Manager I explained the Problem, and that I would like to bring it back " She said to me " no, all sales are final. I said " I cant use it ,the coffee grinds will flow right into the coffee (DUH!) She said "so " and " cant you find a way to use it. I said to her it was not listed the piece was missing, she said " well , we sell them all the time with that piece missing. No body else ever complained " I said " Are you serious Marilyn? I was there less then 15 minutes ago, You wont take it back. "No" she said. I told her she just lost a GREAT customer, and that I will be letting others know my POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE experience. I will be bringing my donations to MANY of the other " Helping Thrift shops" in the Area. Ive been in customer Service for 25 years, and just because they are helping the poor doesnt mean you throw common decency out the window! Disappointing.
