Beer selection and pricing is certainly the strongest point of Food and Friends, as well as the late opening hours on some days. The veggies sometimes looks a bit tired and there isnt always a huge selection. Prices are high, but unfortunately average for the area; overall, a good place to shop but perhaps too expensive to source all your groceries from. Would recommend stopping in for beer, friendly staff atmosphere, and maybe picking up something else on your way in!

Great local grocery and beer store. Their bottle assortment is awesome, you can build your own 4 or 6 pack, and they have some basic 6s ready to go. The grocery selection here is very nice, but a bit limited. Sometimes its hit or miss if theyll have something basic Im looking for (but they always have a swanky alternative). My only complaint is that because of the fancy selections, its a little pricey. Which is kind of to be expected in the Rittenhouse neighborhood.

The prices are high, but on par with Center City. Food and Friends stands out because it offers pre-made food like wraps and sandwiches in addition to single beers. If youve had a rough day at work and want to unwind on your own, this is the place. The staff is very kind. I apologize for knocking the star off, but its a matter of price only. I would recommend going here for the pre-made foods, not the packaged groceries.

A quaint, old fashioned styled convenience food (including fresh fruit) and extremely well stocked beer store with tables for a brew or snack. Immaculately clean and well organized and you can even find some bargains there if you hit it right, although the prices tend to be in line with the super high Center City stores with which it completes. Open til midnight with helpful staff.

This is a market that has its customers in mind. Great, friendly staff. Good selection of quality packaged products and the produce is top notch. I suggested they stock a product that they werent currently carrying and a few days later there it was on the shelf. As the other reviews say, best beer selection around. Very glad to have stumbled across this place.

I am an out of towner who loves beer. The beer selection here is amazing, possibly better than at my favorite bottle shop in NYC. I wanted to get some local beers, so I picked up a few of Yards Revolution Ales and a Monks Flemish Sour Ale. But they also had tons of great American and Belgian craft beers.

Pretty good selection of odds and ends, so-so pricing. But the beer selection and pricing is top notch for the area. Surprisingly high quality fresh produce for such a small selection.

I just came to try the beer. Big selection of imported beers. Can buy upto 2 to stay and drink. Or can buy to go. Great prices. Try the local beers too.
