Complete incompetence from beginning to end. My wife and I purchased a Samsung "scratch and dent" refrigerator. We scheduled delivery for a Saturday, but never received a confirmation call and the delivery truck never showed up. We called and they said they forgot to load the refrigerator on the truck. We rescheduled a delivery for Monday. On Monday, they showed up with a Whirlpool refrigerator with somebody elses name on the front. My wife patiently explained that we purchased a Samsung refrigerator, not a Whirlpool refrigerator. They left to get the refrigerator we purchased, and we found out hours later that they delivered our refrigerator to somebody elses house. When they returned with the correct refrigerator, it had several dents on the front that were not there in the store. After calling to complain, speaking with several people, and waiting hours on hold over multiple days, they finally agreed to refund us the delivery fee, $89. In addition, the salesperson who sold us the refrigerator explained that it was not covered by the manufacturers warranty so we agreed to purchase an additional warranty costing over $100. Looking at the sales agreement later we noticed that it said "Manufacturers original warranty included on everything we sell." So, we needlessly purchased the Sears warranty. We paid $900 for a refrigerator that retails at $1,700, so I guess we got a good deal. But it wasnt worth it for the hassle, incompetence, and duplicity. If not for my wifes extraordinary patience and willingness to wait on hold Im sure they wouldnt have given us any refund.

Terrible customer service! We bought a dryer in December 2014. Shortly after we noticed that the dryer sometimes didnt want to start when we asked it to. Called customer service and they said it wasnt a big deal, just manually turn the barrel if that happens and it should solve the problem. It did for a while. The problem has gotten worse and the dryer is now out of warranty. Had a service man from Sears out on March 4, 2016 and he informed us that the drive motor is busted. Said we should NEVER have been told by Sears customer service to spin the barrel as that will eventually break the belt and well have two problems. The cost to fix the drive motor is more than we paid for the machine. Ive been going in circles with the "Customer Solutions Department" trying to get a replacement dryer as the POOR customer service and incorrect advice was given to us while the machine was under warranty. If they dont make this right, why would we ever purchase a single other appliance from Sears?? Gave one star because I had to give something in order to post this review.

All I wanted to do was tape Shark Week so I came in here to buy some ELP VHS tapes. That stands for extra long play. EXTRA LONG PLAY! 120 minutes. I bought two bricks of those tapes from here and set my top loader to record all week of shark in two hour segments. Well, it turns out this place thinks extra long play is only 100 minutes! You dont have to be an expert in Maths to know that I missed the last 20 minutes of every episode. Those are the best minutes! They dont show sharks flying through the air like Greek Gods of legend in the first half hour, they always wait until the last ten minutes! All I have is 100 minutes of science-tists making paper-mache seals. The only reason Ill ever come back here would be to buy some glue and stuff to make my own paper-mache seal to tow behind my dads boat. Maybe then Ill see natures most deadly predator in fantastic aerial action. One star!

Shameful level of customer service on the Sears Outlet side. The Sears Appliance side seems much more customer oriented. The Outlet sold me a propane gas stove after I was looking at the same stove that was equipped for natural gas. They never told me it was a propane stove, a fact I learned when I unpacked the unit looked at the connections. Moreover, no product manuals were included even though the sales manager, John, specifically told me all documentation was "in the upper oven." I have called and left messages for John or anyone in the store, but no one returns calls, and in some instances the phone simply rings for 10 minutes. One customer service person in particular has such an attitude that I am incredulous she still has a job. Sorry to say we will not be doing business with this store anymore.

we Bought a wall oven last weekend and it was a great experience, Laurence was our salesperson and he was very knowledgeable and helpful, he worked with us to open a charge and made sure we got the best price! I mentioned to him that we also needed a refrigerator and he said he would call me if he got anything that he thought I would like. Honestly I didnt know if he would actually follow thru or maybe even bug me with things I didnt want but...... lo and behold 1 week later he called with the PERFECT fridge ! He somehow knew exactly which one would suit my needs and style and took the initiative to reach out as soon as they got it in. He texted me pictures on his own cell phone and followed up with another seamless sale. Cant wait to get the call that they have the perfect cooktop for my new kitchen !

This was the worse place ever. The stupid lady that worked didnt even care bout her job. We would be asking her questions and she was on the phone with someone laughing like a retard and not caring. She has so much attitude its crazy. Than When we were ready to pay that monkey looking lady was wandering outside the shop. Than when we were finally paying she was still on her cell phone and she walked away and than she started laughing like some dumbass coming out of mental hospital!!!!! This place was horrible never going again and I hope they fire that monkey lookin fat lady! AND IF ANYONE DOESNT BELIEVE ME I GOT THIS ON VIDEO!! I REALLY HOPE THE MANAGER CAN DO SOMETHING BOUT THAT MONKEY LOOKIN FAT LADY!!!!!

Worst experience ever , even with the Corporate Office in Hoffman Estates, IL. We bought a freezer as a Xmas present for son. A month later, my son was informed that they never had it in stock. A replacement was to be delivered. It wasnt. I was given a transaction number for my supposed refund only my bank had no record of it. I contacted Sear Holding Corporation, 3333 Beverly Rd, Hoffman States, IL 60179. I was called and told I would be issued a refund which I was. I was then promptly charged for the same amount a few days later. Sears is not the company it used to be. Incompetence filters down from the very top to the very bottom. Three months later and still no refund.

Worst experience of our life. We bought a washer & dryer from them in December 2013. First they couldnt set it up b/c THEY forgot to give us the hardware for the pedestals. A few weeks after purchase we got the hardware so we called back to set up an installation appointment. Every time we call the store the idiots dont know how to help us, take my number, and say theyll call me back. Almost 5 months later Im still waiting to complete the installation. I will never buy from Sears again. Worst customer service on the face of the planet. Wouldve given zero stars if possible.
