Much as I enjoy writing positive reviews and choose rarely to write negative ones, Im called to warn my friends and neighbors about the poor service weve received from GNC. The staff in the Harleysville store is routinely unfriendly which one could take with a grain of salt until they tell you they will backup the product that they recommend 100% and then fail to do so when the product ill performs. An associate at GNC in Harleysville did just that recently. He sold us a product wholeheartedly stating that if we were unsatisfied for any reason at all we simply needed to return the product for a 100% refund. The product not only didnt work but caused some uncomfortable symptoms. Upon returning to the store the same associate not only refused to fully refund the purchase price, he was exceptionally rude and unable to provide his managers name or contact information. We took our concern to GNCs corporate office. They replied with a form letter and a $10 coupon. I think that pretty much says it all for GNC. Thanks, Paul Gordon P.S. The day-shift staff was extremely unprofessional. I told them I was just looking, only to be told about three different products that I should buy. When I finally made my selection, my experience at the register almost made me leave without purchasing (I was running low on protein, so I needed the stuff). She asked if I wanted a Gold Card. I politely declined. She insisted that I sign up, telling me how much I would save. I politely declined. She then resisted my answer, and asked why not!?, in a confrontational tone. I politely declined and said I prefer not to sign up. She then threatened that now, I could not return my purchase for a refund. I said that I already had used this product, so I know what Im getting. Then, while I made payment, she asked for my email. I already get emails from GNC, so I told her Im already on the list. She said that I still needed to update the email. I then asked her, Is my email address really necessary for my purchase? She then said yes, it is. I replied by repeating that I already get emails. she then rang me up, and I was out the door. Overall, very unpleasant experience.

Ive been shopping here for a few years. This store and the employees are great. They always have the products I like. The staff is friendly and not pushy.
