I am writing this review about a year after I had purchase a 2009 Escalade from here (car turned out to be a major POS, but thankfully had a CPO warranty still active). I am currently in the market for a new car and have realized how seamless my transaction was here at Chapman. I live in MD and found the Escalade here at Chapman online. I wanted to make sure EVERYTHING was in order before I trekked up to PA to purchase the car. Ann, in internet sales, answered every question I posed to her directly and clearly. She even took the time to take extra pictures and send them to me regarding some scuff marks on the rims that I feel other dealerships would have not mentioned. When I finally arrived to the dealership to test drive and purchase I was in and out in less than an hour and a half. I went on the test drive with John M., who was a typical salesman and claimed to know nothing about the vehicle when I asked him why the driver side seat heater wasnt working. Wasnt expecting much from him from the looks. Regardless, when I returned, David the sales manager promised to write me an IOU and reimburse me for getting the front seat heater fixed which they honored. Just wanted to give you guys a shout out for being thorough, direct, and as honest as a car dealership can be. Going through this nightmare now has made me realize how great of an experience it was working with you. Thanks! Wish you had a 2013 Lexus GS350 F Sport I could purchase.

Chapman missed inner and outer tie rod damage, damaged frame assy, skid plate, skid plate front bracket, damage to the passenger side audio system and the electrical system. Placing plastic over major mechanical defects in unforgivable and seriously placed the safety of myself and my family at risk. So far, it has cost me double to repair what Chapman has missed. Today I was informed that Chapman’s business attempted to remit a VOID check for payment that they were informed was being withheld. They were notified in writing in January and February 2015 that the repairs were not complete. Hence the reason for the withheld payment. I informed Chapman payment was to be withheld until the car was properly repaired and in return Chapman had a rude receptionist call so many times that I actually had to block their number. Given the absurdity of the messages left by Chapman’s staff, the fact that their receptionist ensured me that the check was voided (yet somehow attempted to cash it anyway), and the sheer amount of missed damage, I no longer have faith in their company. I will not be defrauded and then coerced and bullied into paying for repairs that were not completed correctly. This is a valid dispute, and I have statements and estimates from 4 experts (2 from different shops) citing the missed damages, the consequences of the missed damages and the cost I paid them.

Great experience during and after the sale. Jonathan Webster was great. He explained all the features of the 2013 Focus I was interested in and knew the various ins and outs of the cars handling, performance options, and trim packages. I was impressed with how he explained the SYNC system to me since my last car was literally 20 years old and I had no idea how much technology was in a new care. In the end I chose an SE model to stay in budget, but he politely and accurately answered all my questions. After the sale the Chapman team has been wonderful. Ten months after my new car purchase a defective part was found and it was replaced no questions asked and with out hassle in any way. Every time I have brought the car for service they are very thorough to inform me on what was done to the car and what they recommend. I never feel pressured to in any way to pay for services I cant afford at that time. A great team an Chapman Ford of Lancaster and I recommend them and will continue to go to them in the future.

Purchased a used car from this dealership. The service was professional and the transaction was painless (almost to good to be true). Driving home the engine light came on. Mechanically we learned the transmission was failing and needed to be rebuilt or replaced. After contacting Chapman Ford, their response was, "you purchased the car as is with no warranty." If you are purchasing a used vehicle from Chapman Ford with no warranty, no matter how pleasant or smiling face the staff may seem, make sure you have an independent mechanic look at the vehicle. There was evidence they sold us a vehicle knowing the transmission was bad. This was my sons first vehicle. You cant imagine the disappointment my son and I felt. Im writing this review in hopes that this terrible experience will not happen to anyone else. Proceed with caution when dealing with Chapman Ford Lancaster

I went to Chapman Ford after having a disappointing experience at another dealership. This is the second car Ive purchased from Chapman. Pat Caterbone was my salesperson. What a great difference! He was knowledgeable, professional, friendly and honest. He found the Explorer I wanted and got it processed very quickly. I never felt like he was pressuring me or trying to sell me anything I didnt want. He listened and offered his honest advice. He then followed up and walked me through the many new technology features that the new cars offer. Pat is my idea of really great car salesperson. I would give him my strongest recommendation.

I went to Chapman ford a year ago in search for a new car and wasnt sure if it was even going to be possible for me to walk out with one at all with my credit and age; but in I went and out I came with a new 2013 car. My auto salesman was Jon Webster and he was awesome for me. His personality was great and very helpful and I felt very confident in the fact that I was leaving with a car and a good one at that. I have no complaints for how my service went and even today when I have questions regarding my warranty or just anything involving my vehicle Jon makes me feel very comfortable in the fact that I can call him and ask away.

I purchased a car from Jon Webster in late 2013 and it was a wonderful experience! He gave me a fantastic deal on the car! He was very patient, helpful, honest and friendly throughout the entire process. Later the following year my car was totaled due to a hailstorm. In search of a new car I went straight back to Jon again where I have recently just purchased a new car in 2015! He is a fantastic person to work with and he will work hard to get you a great deal! We were in PA on vacation when I encountered a problem towing our trailer. Chapman Ford helped diagnose the problem and get a part ordered with my home-town dealer for when I returned from vacation. Their quick, same-day service and clear communication helped save our vacation from being ruined by uncertainty and worry. When we came to pick up the truck after their diagnosis, Nick Horstick was even kind enough to go out in the pouring rain and pull the car under the overhang so we didnt get wet. I am grateful and impressed by their superior service. Thanks again!
