From the very beginning of when I started thinking about buying a car, I knew I was walking a tightrope between wanting something with great fuel economy and wanting something that would be good in bad weather. Obviously, a newish Subaru was one of the only ways I might get both, but I was totally convinced I wouldnt be able to get appropriate financing because of my credit. After receiving a message about what I was interested in through TrueCar, however, Gail Segal called me from the Fred Beans Subaru team, and, even after I explained my circumstances and my doubt that they could help, the whole team went hard to work trying to figure out how to get me into a car I really wanted. In the meantime, I went to four other dealerships and test drove about ten cars. I also was receiving constant phone calls and emails from about seven other dealerships. Everyone other than the Fred Beans Subaru team was extremely aggressive, even over the phone, and I felt like a turkey the week before Thanksgiving. It didn’t help things that I was a woman shopping for a car by myself. Luckily, Gail called me late in the day with the news that they had managed to get me approved for a brand new Impreza hatchback, told me exactly what the payment would be, and asked if I would like to come in for a test drive. I couldn’t get there until after Gail had left, but when I arrived she had thoroughly briefed Jon Denny on the entire course of events, instead of demanding I work according to her schedule, as other dealers had. Like Gail and the finance team, Jon was *amazing.* He was relaxed, extremely patient, and answered all of my questions honestly and thoroughly even when I asked for details on how problems in older-model Subarus had been addressed. He went out of his way to put me at ease. I never felt the slightest bit of pressure, and actually really enjoyed the whole dealership and test-drive experience. To top it all off, the financing department had managed to get me an interest rate that was 1/3 to ¼ of what other dealers had offered, and with a monthly payment that was $100+ less than what I had been offered on a slightly used Kia, and the Subaru had a shorter term! Everyone I met at the dealership was a real person. They made the process totally simple, and stayed late so that I could take the car home that same evening. Jon and the sales manager even helped me figure out how to get insurance that would go into effect immediately (at eight pm on a Friday night), and an hour after “closing,” Jon was setting up the Bluetooth for me in my new car! I am totally confident that I am going to have this Subaru for a long time. However, if anyone in my family or friends circle does need a car, I now know where to send them for a top-notch, customer-oriented, and stress-free car buying experience. My experience purchasing a vehicle at Fred Beans Subaru was excellent. My vehicle search began on-line to identify a vehicle that met my needs and that was a Subaru Outback with “Eye-Sight”. After visiting several dealers, I was most impressed with this dealership and our sales representative (Randy). One of the things that impressed me the most was the kind and friendly sales, without the pressured sales tactics you typically get at most car dealerships. Randy was knowledgeable and helped me with all of my questions. The price that I paid for my vehicle was also excellent. I did price comparison shopping on-line through “True Car”, “Edmunds” and “Consumer Reports”. Although Fred Beans did not have the absolute lowest price, they were able to match all of the on-line quotes provided to me. The friendly atmosphere convinced me to go with Fred Beans. Lastly, the technical support is outstanding. As you may be aware, the Subaru Outback is loaded with very advanced safety features that include the “Eye-Sight Driver Assist Technology”. One would think that all of the advanced technology in the car might be difficult to understand; However, the delivery coordinator (Seth, AKA: Professor Seth) was great at explaining the entire vehicle. He has also invited me back to go over any additional questions. To sum up, my experience at Fred Beans Subaru was great and I would highly recommend this dealership, the sales personnel and the technical support staff to anyone in the market for a new car. Frank

This was my first experience purchasing a new car. My heart has been set on a Subaru Impreza for 4 years, and after a lot of scraping, saving, and research I was finally ready to take the plunge. After hearing many horror stories from friends and family, I was a bit apprehensive about going into a dealership. However, our Salesman, Josh Landau, was incredibly informative, helpful, and patient. I knew the exact car I wanted before going in, which made things much easier, and purchased it the same night we went to check it out. They also gave us a great deal! There was never any pressure, just excellent customer service and education. I went back in to pick up the car 2 days later. The Sales Manager recognized us from the night of the sale and stopped to talk even though it was very busy. Then, instead of handing me the keys and kicking me to the curb, Josh spent at least half an hour helping me set things up and showing me how all the features work! This really meant a lot! The paperwork was straightforward and everything was explained thoroughly. I also got follow-up calls from Josh and the companys customer service department a few days later making sure that I was happy and satisfied--- which I very much am! My experience at this dealership shattered my preconceptions about slimy car salesman. And now I am finally driving my dream car. THANK YOU!

I tried to buy a new 2015 Forester from Fred Beans but they messed up every step of the way. The customer service was poor to start with. My Salesperson told me multiple times that he would call me with updates and never did. I ordered a custom Forester from the factory though Fred Beans and waited 8 weeks to get it. Once it arrived, it turned out that they had ordered the WRONG CAR (the right model but the wrong interior options that I had specifically ordered). This was extremely frustrating after waiting so long, but I could have forgiven an honest mistake if they had responded to it properly. But they tried to convince me to take a different car from what I had ordered as if after waiting 8 weeks, it was ok to ask me to settle. When the manager came out that day, he didnt even apologize for the mistake! He barely said I hi and was pretty aloof when talking to me. I felt like they didnt care about me as a customer and that my wasted time and effort didnt matter to them. I ended up going to John Kennedy Subaru and got the car I wanted in 5 days. Fred Beans Subaru desperately needs to shape up its management and sales staff.

I purchased a new vehicle at Fred Beans Subaru approximately three weeks ago. This is the third Subaru my wife and I have purchased from a dealership. The other two were purchased in California. The experience we had at Fred Beans, was by far, head and shoulders above the experience in California. Everyone we dealt with at Fred Beans was knowledgeable, respectful and ensured we had a pleasant experience. We did not get the usual "pressure" one gets when interacting with a dealership. There were no "shady" car salesmen at Fred Beans. In addition, we felt our opinion and needs were highly valued and everyone was in tune with what we wanted. Our expectations were met and far exceeded. In addition, they were extremely helpful with explaining the various details of the vehicle and walked us through the set up of the accessories. I can not say enough about our experience. I would highly recommend giving Fred Beans Subaru a chance when purchasing a vehicle. Fred Beans Subaru and the people that work there ROCK!!!!
