We had our X5 serviced here for the first time since weve owned it. I have pretty much stayed away from dealer service most of my life because of expensive less than stellar experiences. However, I decided to give it another shot as Im tired of local shops that have our car for weeks at a time. I was over the top impressed with the level of service (pampering) that I received from the time I drove into the service garage. My appt was for 9am. I showed up at 8:30. Pulling into the facility it is very easy to see where service is located and pulled right into the garage to be greeted immediately by a service representative. I was taken to my service reps office while my car was immediately taken back to my mechanics station. It was an easy check in process and I gave my rep a list of items I needed done. The waiting area is very comfortable with refreshments, snacks, TV, computer area and a play area for kids. When my rep was advised that my car would take most of the day, I was immediately offered a loaner car so as not to sit there all day. I eventually took them up on the offer and was handed the keys to a brand new BMW 328i. I decided to just pick my car up the following day. My rep told me they open @ 7:30am. I showed up about 7:10am and to my delight everybody was already in full swing. My rep went over the list of items that were addressed and corrective action taken. I should also add that before I left the day before, my mechanic came out to speak with me about a couple items I had on my list and we discussed the appropriate action to take or not take on each item. He was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. My experience here was first class and I will definitely be back for future service needs.

After having my vehicle serviced multiple times, to correct an issue caused by another dealership, a year and a half later, the issue STILL has not been taken care of. At another dealership, they ordered a duplicate key for us, from Bobby Rahal, and when it simply would not work, the technician sprayed PB Blaster into the ignition. This prompted the entire column to shut down & required it to be flatbedded to Bobby Rahal, since now, not even the original key would work. Aftee going back and forth for weeks about the repairs, they told us that the entire steering column had been replaced. When we picked it up, i noticed that the steering seemed different. I called Bobby Rahal and explained my concern, to which they noted that it was just tight due to it having just been replaced. Having gone back and forth with them for over a year, we decided to trade the vehicle in...low and behold STEERING ISSUES!!! Their technician tore it all apart, only to realize the column has never been replaced. EVER! Rahal stands by their work, & they can tell you anything they want. The car was in deplorable condition upon picking it up & i wouldnt recommend ANYONE doing business (especially in regards to service!) with them! I wouldnt even have given them 1 star, but the programming wouldnt let me!

I really wanted to like this place, but the experience has just proved to be awful. I bought a certified pre-owned 3-series in the fall of 2008 and while I have been really pleased with the car I am not with Rahal. I had to go in for service, I had a vibration in the drivetrain, and they would not honor it and just said it was normal. I then took it Laurel BMW in Johnstown and they fixed it no questions asked, bad inner CV joint. I then went back to look at another vehicle, we were probably going to buy another from them, and they wouldnt even show it too me? They said it was undrivable? It was a CPO 2006 3-Series with 35k, I was soo frustrated, It was in the CPO lot and detailed and everything. My salesman just ignored me and everything! If it was undrivable what is that saying for the brand? I just got soooooo frustrated at their lack of care for a paying customer. I really will miss the free loaner cars, but will from now on go to Laurel BMW even though it is waaaay out of my way. They at least put forth a face of care when they are emptying my wallet hahaha.

I purchased a used 2006 330xi from Bobby Rahal in early 2009. I was very satisfied with the purchase and the level of professionalism exhibited by the employees I dealt with. I recently moved out of state, and needed to get my car serviced. I was having difficulty finding a dealer in my new hometown that would offer loaner vehicles during service visits. I was contacted by someone from Bobby Rahals service department letting me know my car was due for service - he was very friendly, and when I explained how I had moved and the difficulty I was having finding a dealership that provided loaner cars, he offered to help contact the other dealership and see if they would reason with him. Within an hour of getting off the phone, he had secured an appointment with a loaner vehicle for me with the same dealership I had originally contacted that told me they did not provide loaners. I was very impressed with the level of service I received from Bobby Rahal, and hope that my new dealership will try to live up to that standard.

Have owned a BMW for years and always hated Audi, but this place might just change my mind about that. I heard horror stories about this place, but decided to try it anyway. Came here to purchase a 3 series sedan, but was strongly disappointed. I was handed a kelly Blue Book printout for my trade in that was unreasonably low. I later went home, gave them the benefit of the doubt, and chose all the worst options for my car on Kelly Blue Books website. The price I got from Kelly Blue Book was still way higher than the printout they handed me which shouldnt be possible since I chose the worst possible condition for my car. (which it is not in). Their arrogance can be felt before you reach the front door. I strongly recommend the other dealerships in the area. The service department here is excellent, however the sales desperately needs to rethink their sales strategy. PS The car I wanted to buy is still on the lot 4 months later... wonder why?

I have visited Bobby Rahal during October 2011 to buy BMW x5. The way i was treated was horrible and the attitude was ridiculous. They have decided that i might not be the potential buyer in just an hour of talking. Really poor sales team and the sales department needs huge improvement in terms of gaining customer satisfaction. I even called the manager of the sales to find out if i have a better deal but the Manager was really terrible in responding back. Funny part is that they did not even call me back even after i left my number. I pulled the trigger from Local Pittsburgh (located in downtown) bmw dealer in 1 day and was happy about their service. I would never suggest Bobby Rahal to anyone specially first time BMW buyers. The reason Im posting my review late so it can help other potential buyers.
