Came here for a 2nd opinion trying to read the error code for my check engine light. First time an employee at any Advance Auto Parts ever handed me the diagnostic device to use on my own instead of doing it themselves. I actually waited in the store about a minute for a gentleman already using it to bring it back in. So its not as if it was a one time occurrence. The black haired employee with the ponytail grabbed it back for 2 seconds and promptly passed the buck to me. "Just plug it in under the dash and run it" he said, after I looked confused and told him I have no idea how to use this device. Long story short, the machine wouldnt connect and complete the diagnostic. But I dont know if there was something else to try because the dude trained to use the tool was elsewhere. If only the person whose job it was to check things out could of been bothered to oversee 3 minutes of minor car maintenance. It wasnt busy, 3 cars in parking lot. Was it hard to plug and push buttons? No, but I have a 95Buick that nothing has been simple or easy to fix or check and it would of been awesome to have someone that knows their stuff help me out. When Im working cooking steaks I dont hand a customer their New York strip and point to the grill "Just put it on and flip it". Because thats my job. Hey to their credit, I was in and out in only 5 minutes, back on the road to a different auto store.

Ordered a rack an pinion went to pick it up at store brought it home unboxed it 2 days later box was full of stink bugs alive and dead and to top it off wrong rack called store a few times no answer go to take it back talked to the manager told him the box was infested with stink bugs hes answer was the back room has them on the ceiling and in shelving as for the wrong rack an pinion someone pulled the wrong one the only closest one was in georgia manager offered me free over night shipping to my house i was fine with that 3 months after install seals blew back to the store for warranty had to buy another rack to get refund i was charged for the new rack and core take back the defective rack and get refunded my core not the whole total will not ever shop at advance auto again

Great place for parts and I would much rather give them business than Wal-Mart across the street. But their customer service skills are horrible. The guys behind the counter seem pretentious car owners who just dont wanna be bothered by the rest of the world.

VERY very nice and helpful. Took the time out even know that they were closing at 6 and it was 5:55 pm on a Sunday. I was very happy with the manager and the employee. They even changed my wiper blades I didnt even had to ask them to.

I come here often. The service is good and they have good perks such as free battery, alternator tests. Also free code reading, battery and windshield wiper installations and more! The prices are ok. Ask for price matching.
