Save yourself the time, money, and trouble. This man cannot keep his stories straight and blatantly misrepresents work done. In August, we bought a Passat with no license plates. One day after purchase, the check engine light came on. We took it to our mechanic who ran diagnostics and found that the secondary air pump and valve were non-functioning. I called Paul and asked if the car had been through DEQ yet. He answered, "Uh, gosh, um...the Passat. I dont really know. Im sure the old owners did it....Ill check with my bookkeeper. She isnt here right now." Mind you, this was ONE day after we bought the car and he couldnt remember if he took it through DEQ or not. When he got back to me, he acknowledged that no, it had not yet passed DEQ and to "bring it back in so I can fix it". At that point, Im sure he reset the check engine light rather than repairing it and it came on again the next day. Took it back again. He returned it with the light off again and followed up with a phone call to "Take it through DEQ by noon tomorrow". Gee, I wonder why. After noon the next day, the light came on again. Took it back to Paul AGAIN. All the while, he refused to acknowledge what my mechanic said: that both the air pump AND valve needed to be replaced or the pump would take on water and burn out again. He said, "Thats what YOUR mechanic says." This time, the light stayed off for 5 days and several hundred miles of driving. Took it through DEQ and it passed. Right after that, the underside engine cover fell off while I was driving. There were no bolts holding in place. When I called Paul and asked if the mechanics had accessed the engine via the underside he said, "Gosh, I dont know" despite having told my husband a few days earlier that that is exactly where they accessed the part. I managed to temporarily fix the cover until I could get to Diamond. When I asked him to fix it, he said, "Gosh, its going to be an hour." I said, "Ill wait." Then, miraculously, he checked with the guys on the other side of his shop and, what do you know, they were able to replace the bolts within 5 minutes. Check engine light came on the next day. Just found out that Paul merely had the pump replaced and not the valve which means the pump burned out again. Because he refused to properly repair the car for an additional small amount of money, he is now receiving this negative rating (if i could give zero stars, I would). He fulfilled his legal obligation to get the car through DEQ, how he did it was a smack in the face to us. I wouldnt risk buying a paperclip from this guy. Next stop: complaint to the Attorney General who, oh by the way, already has one on file from 2012 for the SAME issue: selling cars that cant pass DEQ.

Paul was very helpful and I would recommend him to others. Like the prior post I did not feel pressured. I was very skeptical when buying my SUV as I feared I would get an overpriced lemon however everything went well. I have been driving it for 2 weeks without a problem. The price I paid seemed fair for the condition of the vehicle based on Auto Trader, Kelley Blue Book and Craigslist. I was not able to find a comparable for as low of a price. Paul offered me a discount by paying cash and negotiated a deal where I could trade in my current truck within 2 weeks after my purchase for an agreed upon price. This put me at ease that I had time and an option to sell my truck in case I was unable. I was able to sell my truck to a third party for $100 above the agreed upon trade in value he offered. So the price offered would have been fair and less time intensive for me. I did not give 5 stars due to the building and parking lot needing to be upgraded. I purchased the SUV on a rainy day, like many in Oregon, and their parking lot is rocked / very old paving with puddles and no carport. However if they have what you are looking for, by my experience, you should be happy with the end result.

Do not buy a car here unless you enjoy dealing with a shady business. After putting some cash down to hold the vehicle I was going to buy, I discovered that it had been misrepresented during the sale. I obtained service reports before paying the car off in full and found out in needed many repairs that would have cost more than the vehicle was worth (an axle spewing grease and ready to blow just for starters). After bringing this to Pauls attention I was told he would lower the cost slightly and allow me to use his mechanic to fix the issues at my cost, ha. Then to top it off when the deal was dead I was told about a restocking fee of $500 that was never discussed during the sale either. Im out some cash which is unfortunate, but at least Paul and Diamond Auto did not get the other $4000 :) Save yourself the trouble and look somewhere else.

This place is awful. The only good car they had was the nice well working car I traded in for their peice of crap car. They will do anything they can to get a person to buy their awful broken cars including giving a good trade in value and calling constantly and saying need to come look to be appreciated ha! Two minutes from the lot and the check engine light came on.They buy their cars from nice dealerships who dont want to pay to fix cars that have too many problems. I would run far from this place. If i picked one word to describe this place it would be deceptive

If you have any knowledge of cars this place is great. Paul was super friendly and didnt bullshit me at all. Was willing to let me take the vehicle to my own mechanic to have the engine looked over (as you should always do when buying a "new" car). They sell used cars, most people ditch there cars when they are Dying. so as a smart consumer you have to be extremely careful as the other reviewers obviously werent. Anyways, thank you Paul and team for being a great place making myself and family feel welcome and selling me my "new" beautiful car!

Paul at Diamond Auto Sales helped us and took our trade-in at the fairest price any one had offered us (after asking around at about 5 other places). They gave us a great car at a great price that seems to be in exactly the mechanical condition they said it was. Paul was friendly, efficient, and honest. He did not pressure me. The dealership is small but I recommend Diamond Auto Sales if they have anything like what youre looking for.

Run very fast From this place! They will say anything to get yur money! Even if it meens selling you an unsafe car. I attempted to buy a car there for $2200 only to find out it needed $10,000 in work to make it safe to drive. They agreed to return it but only after I was ferious with the owener. He kept a $500 restocking fee out of my money. And then turned around and put it on the lot again the next day. So sad very unethical business!
