I went to this Wal Mart yesterday 6/10/2017 and it was a real bad experience. It seems like they just want as much money as possible. Two years ago I read online that as a corperation in 2015 they made close to a trillion dollars that year just in the U.S. They quality of their merchandise is real bad. I bought some tomatoes that were very expensive and closed the container on mine as well as 4 other packages that were in the area where the tomatoes are because they were open. I had them in my basket and the container I bought opened and they spilled all over the floor by the cashiers station. Luckily someone helped me pick them all up but they were not employees. The containers should of been made better where these little tomatoes should not have spilled. The containers should not have opened up at all. Everything is mass produced and made in a cheap and very bad way. Then when I checked out and paid $73.66 for my items which included a blood pressure meter they did not sack my groceries and I had to sack them myself. I am disabled physically from a horrible car wreck that I was in in 2006 and am unable to walk anymore and now have to use a walker. I told them to sack my groceries and the employee just stood there and did nothing. I am now very afraid to buy anything there ever ever again and am afraid to try my meter because I feel it may not work. Again, their produce containers i.e the cherry tomato containers all of them were not closed and when I did close mine it came open again and all the tomatoes fell onto the floor. I am disabled and could not pick them up even if I wanted to due to my horrible disabilities. The store is nothing but a greedy greedy corporation that does not care about its customers at all. This should of not happened to me. This was the day of the Grand Floral parade in Portland downtown and was shocked the store was jammed packed today in the afternoon with thousands and thousands of people and it was very hard to shop due to the high crowds. I am dirt poor and every single cent in my life counts tremendously and feel that the store and the corporation as a whole are greedy and care about one thing only and that is the DOLLAR only. Please never go to this store or Wal Mart anywhere in the Portland metro area because the quality of the merchandise is very bad and they care nothing about the poor customer or any customer for that matter. I plan on never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever at all to come back to this store due to the fact that I spent a lot of money and was treated on 6/10/2017 like dirt and should of not had to sack my own groceries. This store is still in Washington county and they still had the plastic sacks in the store and not the paper ones that rip and are no good. Wal Mart sucks 100 % for sure. Please think abot how much money this corporation makes before you go there. It is extremely excessive for what you get and the horrible customer service you get there. Their employees attitude is very bad and they teach them this bad behavior and tell them to get the most profit out of the customers.

This particular location has always been hactic and crowded with some very unhappy employees. My last nights experience was especially bad: the cashier gentlemen (his badge said "Deric") didnt even look at us when we came to his register, not to mention greeted us in any way. At the end he didnt know how to properly run a gift card, so he kept asking me what the balance on it was (arent you supposed to see it when you scan the card, man???). When I answered he kept cringing his face like he was not understanding me and kept rudely asking again and again (at least three times, and no, I dont have an accent or anything like that). I told him the approximate balance, which was bigger than our total for the purchases that we were making; he entered it, then called a supervisor over to do some sort of an override (on a gift card?? He definitely didnt know what he was doing), and printed our receipt showing that he owed us smal change, but he didnt give it to us. My husband and I both noticed that, but were so fed up with his attitutde that we just walked out. Also, with the store being very busy, they only had three regusteres opened. On our way out through the doors clearly marked as "exit" I got harassed by two young girls who were walking in (so, clearly going the wrong way) when I didnt yield to them. Do people not know how to read any more and how to behave in public? I guess not, in their case.

They sold me a sixty dollar money order at my request for an apartment application fee. A few weeks later I decided not to apply so I returned to the same Wal Mart to obtain my refund. After standing at the returns counter for way too long while they tried to process my refund, the cashier and eventually her manager both said they were unable to refund my sixty dollars, and that I should try calling the telephone number on the back of the money order. Why should I have to do that? I gave Wal-Mart $60.00 cash when I bought it at this very location? Needless to say, Im never buying a money order from Wal-Mart ever again. And I want to warn others so this does not happen to anyone else. Im going to buy all of my cashiers checks from my new financial institution, U.S. Bank. Which btw is how I was able to obtain my sixty dollars. I simply deposited it into my new checking account. Another happy U.S. Bank customer!

Horrible produce, deli, and meat department items. Often old or close to expiration. Too few employees and lines open. Typical check out time is 15 minutes. Awful customer service. Does not honor Walmart corporation return policy which I find deceptive. Staff follows customers through store closely monitoring for theft. This practice makes a shopper feel highly uncomfortable. Lately has been stopping and checking receipts and items purchased at exit. I can only assume they have had a high incident of shop lifting to employ these practices, but this isnt Costco and I didnt sign a contract to allow such behavior here. Cheap prices and availability of all home needs at one location are the only positives.

The store is clean and the shelves are decently stocked. So if you are going here to grab something quick and get out then it is just fine. And they have some self check out registers which is a nice bonus. But if you need customer service then that is where it severely lacks. Rarely can I find an employee that can answer my question, they never approach and offer assistance, and when dealing with a simple return with a receipt at customer service it took almost 20 minutes. I dont like the warehouse style of the open ceilings and concrete floors either... I know it is a small thing, but for me it doesnt create a very comfortable shopping environment.

Smaller Wal-Mart with a smaller selection than most. They do not train their staff properly and was banned from the WIC program for a year as a retailer as a result of their lack of training. I used to work at another Wal-Mart back in 2010-2011 and several times I had to teach the cashiers how to do something that they should have already been trained on. There is a cashier here that is real snooty and has told me a couple times to make my toddlers be quiet because they were bothering her. Theyre toddlers; theyre not exactly the quietest creatures and its Wal-Mart, not an upscale boutique.
