Hello Rite Aid, Last year a physician prescribed a two stage anti-bacteria medicine for an infected tooth. He called this prescription in to Rite Aid Pharmacy; their price was $58. After calling his office back for a cheaper pill the receptionist advised that Rite Aid was the most expensive pharmacy in Silverton. Costco charged $18 for the same item. Imagine that! This a.m. I paid my first visit to the grand opening of the towns new Rite Aid. We needed size 00 capsules for our cayenne pepper. Rite Aid doesnt carry empty capsules. “Try Hi School Pharmacy,” was the suggestion. This p.m. I paid my second visit to Rite Aid, this time for whipping cream (strawberry shortcake). There was none on the shelves, however. Haagen Das was on sale, 2 for $7 spake the large black on yellow sale tag – vanilla ice cream would fill the bill. The register rang up $5.79. Not what the tag told me. “Do you have a Wellness Card?” With the discount the bill was $3.99. After advising that the display tag stated 2 for $7, I was told that one must purchase two containers for the full discount. Our family will not visit Rite Aid again. You dont need a weather man to tell you which way the wind blows. Example: infirm people often visit pharmacies. Suppose one of them forgets to produce a “Wellness Card”, could they inadvertently pay double the price? Of course they could. They could pay $$ instead of $. If there is a requirement that a customer must buy so many of an item to realize a discount, why not so advise your unsuspecting customers in the same size type face? Or would you prefer confusing the trusting folks coming through your doors with a curious, three tier pricing scheme? If there is no possible way for Rite Aid to come up short, then it makes sense that there should be no possible way a customer can come up short. Am I reaching for the stars, here? Safeway has a curious, two tier pricing scheme, so that was my next stop. (Question: Is there a curiouser four tier pricing scheme in the works? When does such behavior become criminal?) Safeways Haagen Das ice cream was also on sale 2 for $7. After providing the clerk with an out of date phone number (larceny begits larceny)I paid my $3.50 an was on my way. Remember when a 10 cent pack of gum was 10 cents? That was before Rite Aid.

I recently had to go to urgent care and was discharged at 5.40pm with a prescription to have filled before the Silverton RiteAid closed at 6. I got to RiteAid at 5.45 with the prescription only to be told thatRiteAid would not fill the prescription because it was too close to closing. They offered an option of coming back the next morning after 9am or driving 12 miles to the next Rite aid. What!?!? I, chose Option two, since I needed to begin the prescription that evening. What terrible service. This Rx wasnt complicated and was a common Rx, easily completed.

Horrible, I called them for a product, they said they have something compatible, so I spend 42,00 on this product, bring it home, go to use it, totally wrong, the pharmacy was the one telling me this over the phone, so I go in and double check, pharmacy still tells me itll work, it is not compatible, everything is different, had to try to take it back, you think they take it, even tho its shows on my rewards card I bought it there, hell no, they only want to give me back half of what I payed, now I know why they have the money to expand!

The pharmacy is slow!!! They have two registers but NEVER open a second line! I have been told that the register is broken.... well heres an idea... FIX IT! The employees never smile or greet you. Simple people skills would help this store go a long way! I am seriously considering switching to another pharmacy, the only thing that is keeping me from doing this is the fact they are the only pharmacy in Silverton that is open until 9pm, otherwise I would leave them in a heartbeat! NEVER GO HERE!!!

I had difficulties with prescriptions not being ready even when given a number of days to fill. However, the last couple of times I have called them in, they have been on time. Perhaps it was a temporary glitch of some sort. I hope this trend continues!

Always have had a great experience. Gripes and complaints are all people know how to do anymore. Waiting is another thing that people dont know how to do.
