We mainly chose the Sherwood Walgreens because its on the way home and has a drive thru. Two convenient things when you just need to get your prescriptions and go home. Jerry the Pharmacy Manager and their pricing ruined that for us. Any dealings with Jerry have been rude, unhelpful and in one instance, completely inappropriate. Completely inappropriate: My wife, who happens to be pregnant, went to pick up a pain relief medication. Jerrys "consultation" for her was: "This should really be able to get you cooked up during your pregnancy." He apparently never read the "things to never say to a pregnant woman" book or the guidelines of his job which are to keep your smart alec opinion to yourself, dispense drugs and advice on how to use them safely. We were in complete shock a professional would say this. Our doctor was in complete shock that he had said this. We collectively decided it was time to find a new pharmacy after that. Price: Insurance companies make things that much more complicated. Ours cant count or divide by 30 to make sure you are going to have the medication your doctor instructed you to take. So when we found we were out of a sleeping medication and insurance wasnt going to cover it, we were left paying cash. Cash price for a popular sleeping medication at Walgreens: over $44 (for the generic. yep.) The exact same prescription at Costco: $9.14. They were not willing to communicate with our insurance company to own up to the fact they filled the prescription wrong to begin with. And finally, Unhelpful: We cancelled 2 prescriptions due to insurance not covering them, finding alternatives and not bothering to have them switched. When we went to pick up another prescription a week later due to a doctor not realizing we had made a switch (and us really needing it) they lumped the 2 cancelled prescriptions into the 1 prescription we needed. No consultation was given this time or a run down of what was being picked up. Not realizing what had happened until after we left the drive thru, Jerry claimed the Board of Pharmacy allows them to deny any returns once prescriptions have crossed the pharmacy counter. I dont doubt this is true, but even on the Walgreens website it states that if a prescription has been filled in error, you may speak with the pharmacist to come to an agreement. Obviously this was filled in error. He was short, rude and unwilling to acknowledge that they made a mistake. The convenience of the drive thru just isnt worth justifying a managers appalling behavior, outrageous pricing and general disinterest in wanting a customer. There are better pharmacies in and around Sherwood.

Went to pick up prescription refill (their recorder reminder said it was time to pick up) and they had returned it to stock early.....like I just got the reminder the day before but they didnt bother to apologize. THEN, they kept refilling my brand label prescription as generic even though I told them from day 1 Ive tried generic in the past & didnt work. The prescription was written as brand name only but they chose to ignore that every time. The said "the problem is that we have to special order the brand name and that takes more time", I couldnt believe the attitude at this place. One gal at the pharmacy, I should have written her name down, was extremely rude and incompetent beyond reason. She was the gal who put my refill back when it was only 1 day since I got the recorder refill reminder. I was upset she put it back early and never apologized, just said with sarcasm and eye rolls "calm down" and I told it was the worst customer service I ever had. Few months ago I first started filling prescriptions (had severe stomach flu in Jan) went to pick up med that was sent by urgent care doc, they gave me a blank stare and said "it just got hung up in the system" but they never bothered to call me to let me know or let doc know. The customer service at this place is inexcusable. They just dont seem to care about its customers (pharmacy area only), the rest of the store employees are nice and friendly. I took my business to Safeway pharmacy down the street, what a relief to be able to pick up medications so quickly and professionally.

Staff is OK. Pharmacy is the pits. We chose Walgreens because we travel and can find a store anywhere. This one closes the pharmacy for lunch which seems to be the time I drop by most often. Then they fail to reopen at the time designated. I am moving my prescriptions to a location where service means something. Because service here really sucks and has wasted enough of my time and gas trying to get a prescription filled. Hire more staff so you can have at least someone there during pharmacy hours.

My prescription had been placed at the wrong state by my Dr. They found it, quickly filled it fast, and did it all while I was in the drive-through. It only took about five minutes, and they were pleasant and helpful. We are moving our business here from a Safeway in town that never fills on time, and several days after placing the order when we went to pick up the meds the work had not been done. They then made us wait another twenty minutes. So far a much nicer experience at Walgreens.

PATHETIC IDIOTS! They CONSTANTLY get prescriptions wrong and blame it on the doctor. My doctor is not happy with them for this either. They close the pharmacy entirely during lunch. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable for a big box store! The pharmacists are rude. The help working beside them is incompetent. Ive had to go without pills that I need more than once because these idiots screwed up the prescriptions and blamed it on the doctor during the weekend.

Understaffed. Youll often walk in and find absolutely nobody working because the one and only person on duty is on break or something. Also, the store can be an absolute mess sometimes because there simply arent enough workers to clean up. There is absolutely nothing here you cant get at the nearby Target or Safeway pharmacies, so save yourself some time and go there instead.

You know what really cuts down on Walgreens complaints? Clearing the form by failing to allow the selection of a store. When you call they just transfer you and abandon you on the line. So I have a complaint about a prescription that went unfilled... but who cares about that after 4 attempts to complain?

Terribly slow. I was told 45 minutes. I go back in after an hour of waiting and it told its not ready and itll be at least 20 minutes. So 90 minutes later it gets filled. Worthless. Worst location Ive been too. They dont this before and apparently just dont care to quote accurate times.

i really enjoy the big scary lady that works on wednesday nights and saturday morning in the photo department. she was very helpful and never plays games on her phone in the back. her manager, i think its mechelle, is extremely friendly and not rude at all.
