So, I made the mistake of buying a coat online from within the store about a month ago. The service at that time was wonderful. The problem was I hated the way the coat fit me. Thats on me. That is how my body is. When I went in to return it today, I was told by the front guy, rudely, that "thats how snowboard jackets fit". I have four snowboard jackets, no it is not. So I go up to the counter and ask to return it. I will admit, I work 100+ hours a week working in an actual career field, so I definitely couldnt remember where I put my receipt. But most places dont need a receipt, just the card you bought it on. So I was very surprised and shocked that I couldnt return my jacket. I joked that, "hey, its 2016, you gotta get your systems up to date". If you want to stay with the times, as a company, things have to change. Girl there didnt seem too bothered, she apologized and I left. Thats on me, no big deal. But as soon as I left the store, my husband reminded me that I bought it online and I should have an email receipt. I did! So I went back in. I waited at the counter and the same girl was avoiding me and making eye contact but not helping me. This was confusing. Then some guy, literally the rudest customer service representative I had ever encountered, came up and started, before I could even explain how I had a receipt, that theres nothing they could do. I just showed him my phone receipt and great, it would work. I then commented (not snarky at all) how shocked I was that the system was so old when Zumiez is trying to be so with the times. He just said "ok". Most awkward thing ever. Then I was talking with my husband saying, "you know how I am, if I cant return something without a receipt, I cant shop here. I just lose things too much and am too picky. Its just not worth the risk." I wasnt being rude, I wasnt saying Zumiez sucked, I just probably shouldnt shop there. THEN, the rudest guy ever, decided to tell me that he is sitting there returning the coat and I shouldnt make a scene. He was "being nice". Excuse me, 25 year old child, it is not your job to be nice. Your job is to do your job and return my coat without trying to control my conversation. Had you even listened, you would know that I wasnt even bad mouthing Zumiez. In fact, it was more my problem with losing things than it was Zumiezs archaic operating systems. But then again, he works at Zumiez so emotional intellect is probably lost on him. He then tried to tell me that he didnt have to return my coat. To which point I laughed and said I could go to another Zumiez store? Haha, I just couldnt at that point. The lack of customer service was astonishing. The misinterpretation is one thing, eavesdropping on a conversation is another.. getting offended by something that has nothing to do with you or the store.. It really is amazing. Zumiez has indefinitely lost me as a customer and I committed right then and there to find out who Zumiezs biggest competitor was and shop there from now on. As a company, Zumiezs truly needs to have more quality control. Hiring people who cause customers to never return, that is bad for business.

Ive never had such poor customer service and NEVER EVER leave a bad review but in this case I would take the guys f***ing job if I could. He was that rude. And not just rude he went out of his way to be a dick. I took my 11 yard old brother to the mall with me and stopped by zumiez to purchase him a rastaclat bracelet. So that fact he disrespected me in front of my little brother pisses me of even more. I know this wont stop anybody from going there but if you do at least leave a review on your customer service. Cause I have a feeling this aint a rare thing.

Little to no stock of anything in the average sizes mid-season, workers seem pushy and have problems listening to what you are saying. I wont be returning when there are outdoor stores with larger selections and genuine atmospheres out there.

I love this amll because it has great stores for everyone, such as Hot Topic, Zumiez, Lids, Gymboree, Gap, Old Navy, a movie theatre, and a food court.

Cheap quality clothes catering toward teenagers. Adults will find nothing intresting here unless you really like to skateboard.
