Went here for the first time to buy some hair extensions, as recommended by a friend. I had never bought hair extensions before and really had no idea what I was looking for. The lady that helped me out was very kind and patient and helped me pick out exactly what I needed! What I loved the most was that she was not pushing me to get anything I didnt want. She worked with my budget, answered all the questions I had (and I had a lot) and was very helpful. The store itself had a HUGE supply of beauty products - from hair extensions to makeup to shampoos to hair accessories to nail polish, I was so surprised at their variety! Ill definitely come back here for future beauty purchases (:

Most of the staff are not friendly and the prices are double what they should be. I did some research and find one pack of hair almost triple the price from online (the same product from the same company). Personally, I will not go back to the store because it takes advantage of the community by not being fair with pricing. Although Im new in Portland, I have a feeling that people will still continue to go, but I will not spend my money in a place that does not value my community and you get treated like your going too steal something AS SOON AS you walk through the door. No thank you!

So I have been shopping at Mid-K practically my whole life so far.......I mean I got my first perm from there. So I never in a million years would say I will NEVER EVER EVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! To find out why, look for my video coming in the next day on youtube. My name on youtube is rememberunity! Bottom line is Mid-k people need to realize that they provide a service that explicitly targets the BLACK COMMUNITY and they would want to show some respect to us when we buy not one, not two, but three wigs at a time from them!!!!!!!!!!!

i have been to many locations over many years and have never had a problem. This location in Gresham Oregon is very dishonest. Purchased an item 1 week ago and was told it could be returned if it was the wrong size. It was. Tried to return it after one time use, in origional package, with photo i.d, and the reciept. The owner said no store credit or return and I must be lying about what the cashier told me on the return policy. Same cashier that checked me out. Very dishonest and a client loss over $15.

Had exactly what I was looking for. When we first entered, we were greeted immediately, but I was able to just look around without being bothered, which I greatly appreciated being an introvert. So if you are an introvert or have social anxiety and need a beauty supply store with minimal social interaction, this is a good one

it has a great selection of things and the staff are friendly and if you tell them your on a budget they will go out of there way to help you look good without costing you a fortune and will show you how to do a few simple tricks to save you a lot of time and money in the long run

Only place Ive found in Oregon thats an actual beauty supply with a large selection of products for black people and reasonably priced unlike their competitors with 2 shelves of products that black people really dont use regularly. My favorite spot to get what i need.

My daughter had been struggling to find extensions to fit her taste. Mid k stepped up to the plate. Found what she needed and then some. Definitely the largest inventory in the northwest that we have found so far. Start here before you waste time going elsewhere.
