Wow, customer service taken to the next level! I came home tonight to find a necklace that the women at Grayling sent me after a recent visit to the shop. I have purchased a number of items over the years and when I was in the shop recently I casually mentioned an issue I have had with some pieces. They always mention that if there is any issue to bring things in but thats just hard for me. Tonight I received in the mail the piece I was admiring during my recent visit with a special note to me. I literally almost cried, it was just so touching/surprising! I felt so considered and respected as a customer. Im not sure what is driving the culture of this shop but it always feels so wonderful when I visit and it appears that the employees are all very sincere in their dedication to serving customers and providing high quality jewelry. Hope you enjoy your pieces and shopping experience there as much as I have!

Love this jewelry and all of the people making it! All of the jewelry is made "in house" by a group of lovely and hardworking women. The pieces range anywhere from simple to extravagant. The versatility makes it fun to mix and match pieces, layer different styles, add something simple to a loud outfit, or spice up a simple outfit with something bold. The gals in the shop are chalk full of suggestions and can alter any piece in the shop to fit your unique physique and/or preference. Im pretty specific with the brands that I choose to shop from. Do they source locally... Are they just in it for the $... etc. Grayling is one of those well intentioned success stories that will make you not only want to wear their fabulous jewelry, but also to contribute to the world of small businesses and to have an (often lost) personal experience with your local jeweler.

Ive been a loyal customer and huge fan of Grayling Jewelry since the very beginning. They set the standard in costume jewelry. Its made right here in Portland and designed by a true artist, Katy Kippen, Their jewelry boutique on NE Alberta is stunning and inspiring, but never intimidating. Theyre more than happy to help you find just the right pieces for yourself or for one very lucky recipient. I have dozens of Grayling pieces and love to keep adding to my collection. Their jewelry is durable, high quality, and really holds up over time. Whether youre new to costume jewelry, looking to add to your own collection, or just in Portland for a visit, this is one boutique, in a darling neighborhood, that you wont want to miss. Love me some Grayling!

I bought two Grayling neck pieces at Christmas time, one for my daughter, the other for my son’s girlfriend. I bought pieces with the double-clasp, the Menara and the Andromeda, so they could be worn a variety of ways--long, short, twisted—I liked the versatility and the choices of metals. I told the girls they could exchange their necklace for something they might prefer, but they both LOVED their gift and they look fantastic on them. It can be tough finding the right thing for busy millennial women who work all the time, but your designs did the trick. I’m so, pleased! The woman who helped me make the purchase, Mey, was delightful. I’ll be back!

I still remember the first time I walked into Grayling and I met the owner, Katy! She was so wonderful and helped me pick something out for my wife. Since that first day, my wife has gotten multiple pieces and has received many compliments from family and friends. In addition, the staff at Grayling is very professional and is always willing to answer any questions that I or my wife has. If you are looking for something to spice up your wardrobe or need something to wear everyday, I highly recommend Grayling. Also, it is a locally owned Portland, Oregon company - so we have to support this business! Thanks, KSD

The jewelry is gorgeous. They have a range of styles from delicate studs to larger statement pieces, so its easy to find a gift here. The boutique assistants are very friendly and helpful; not pushy at all. Plus, everything is made in their workshop at the back of the boutique! Random Tips: - Katy, the owner and designer is often in the boutique. Say hi! - They also sell Voluspa candles (they smell amazing) and some greeting cards - Complimentary gift wrap, you just need to ask. - Closed on Monday. - Their jewelry is nickel-free, which means its safe for peeps with sensitive skin

This is my go-to jewelry store in Portland! You know its good when you see the top fashion stylists in the city sporting Grayling. Shopping online is good...but going into the store is even better. The staff is friendly and helpful. And when I tell them what I need, they always suggest just the right thing..and then show me the many ways to wear it. (I never realized how many Grayling necklaces are convertible -- even the ones that dont say they are!) Plus, I honestly think the photos dont do the jewelry justice -- its so much prettier in person!

I own many pieces from Grayling and never fail to find one that gives that "something" needed to complete an outfit! All ranges are covered from casual to formal with this expertly handcrafted jewelry. I tend to only buy jewelry when I feel it is special in some way, and Grayling is my go-to for craftsmanship, hospitality, and overall pride and purpose in what they do. I never fail to get at least one compliment when I wear something from Grayling! (especially my newest Sophia ring, out of stunning brass and sparkling smoky crystals!)

Im not sure which I dislike more: shopping or jewelry. So when I decided to go jewelry shopping for a dressy event, I dreaded it. The plan was to find one perfect place to buy everything I needed as quickly as possible. I went to Grayling on instinct and it totally paid off. I bought a few gorgeous, affordable pieces of jewelry with the help of a gracious lady named May, who made the process painless and fun. Kudos, Grayling. I might just be back!

Grayling has become my favorite place in the whole Portland and Vancouver Metro Area to buy jewelry! I feel so comfortable giving it as gifts knowing that their statement custom nickle free jewelry will be a hit. My husband even had a bracelet designed for me for our 40th Wedding Anniversary! I love it as well as the other pieces I have bought which always draw compliments. I really love the handmade jewelry!

Cool, comfy, intimate space with work studio right there. Went to a workshop and loved it. Great, unique, classy, affordable jewelry. Made in Portland!!! Service was soft and friendly...not at all pushy but definitely helpful. They changed a necklace clasp on the spot for me...otherwise I wouldnt have bought it. They also sent me a hand written thank you note which I appreciate. Nice touch.
