I am so grateful to have this art store in N. Portland. I have had nothing but great experiences at this store. The selection of art supplies is awesome! They even stock a lot of items that Dick Blick only has available online. So far their prices are better as well. They dont offer coupons, but coupons arent needed because they dont mark up prices above retail like other retailers do. The sales people are always warm, welcoming, and super helpful. When I had a question about using a product in a somewhat unusual application, the salesperson got on the phone directly with the manufacturer to verify that I could safely use the product in the way I was planning and to find out more information about it. Businesses come and go frequently in N. Portland, so I hope that our community supports this business because its stores like this that improve our neighborhood for the better.

A week ago my hubby and checked the store out and just loved the selection. Today I went in to get the paints I wanted for my Alaska trip, a that time we noted they would run me between $26-32. I asked if they had flocking and they do not. So I went to paints, with help from the clerk I looked at two sets and settle on the more expensive one. I was totally stunned to see that its price was doubled at the register. I even showed the clerk where I got it and she explained it was just mislabeled. I am totally disappointed and left without getting anything. So beware buyers your item might be miss labeled.

This place is my jam! Art supplies are always so expensive and have a tendency towards an elitist mentality. This store spins that on its head. I am a professional portrait painter and this store makes my job so much easier. Supplies are affordable, staff is helpful without being in the way and the store layout is easy to navigate. I love the funky novelties at the front and they always have sales going where you can try new-to-you things at a price that doesnt scare you. They even have parking in back!

Just like an Artists Studio it is a cluttered art supply made of dreams, with a little of everything this place has it all no matter the craft of choice, with good sales and lots of product! Tags are always a little confusing but the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I found better pricing here than most other art supply stores, plus they have a small selection of beads!

A surprisingly well packed art and craft supply store with everything from high end artists materials to kid-oriented craft supplies to gorgeous hand laid Japanese papers. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and convenient parking make this "not downtown" one stop art supply store a pleasure to visit.

Love this store! Reasonable prices and friendly staff. Im always browsing, but my husband is usually looking for particular things and they always go out of their way to help. Lots of things, were always in there awhile, so much awesome stuff to choose from. Love the paint by number kit.
