If you are in the area and need somethinh, its an OK, but the service is SLOW and sometimes inaccurate. For example, they believe they undercharged me for a paint order which totalled about 120$. They called me twice trying to re-coop the am they believed I owed which was $17 (for one qt of paint). I shared w them that the cashier had also made an error on the ladys tab in front of me, which shr caught and which I had to wait for him to fix. I still dont believe I owed this amt but they made me feel so guilty about it that I just paid it to get them to stop calling me since it seemed to be such an urgent matter for them. I personally wont go back to this store.

We were shopping at this store this afternoon. We made a small purchase. The item had a price tag of 2.79 on it. We were charged 4.49 because that is what the rang up in the system. My wife asked to see the receipt when we left. She noticed the difference. We went back in and asked the cashier about the difference. He called John who told us the item must have been returned from another store because they dont use the blue Ace Hardware price tag. There was no attempt to make the purchase correct. Over $1.81 this store has lost a customer. We just wanted to pay what it was tagged. How are we to know that they dont use blue Ace Hardware price tags.

Ive been shopping here regularly for the past 5 years, as my house is right up the street. They are generally more helpful and knowledgeable than employees at Lowes or Home Depot, and believe it or not, they often have some misc part I need that I couldnt find at the big stores. This is especially true with nut and bolt hardware; Aces selection is fantastic for such a small store. The downside is that prices are generally higher than the bigger stores, so I wouldnt necessarily shop here if I needed big ticket or items in great quantity. However, for quick around-the-corner trips, this Ace is definitely the place.

When I first walked in I was greeted and asked if I needed any help, which I appreciated. Minutes later when I needed to ask about bolt types, I was waived off by the manager (who was in some kind of hurry), and told that someone would come over to help me out. No one came, and it seemed that most of the employees spent their time chatting it up in the front of the store. Stores like this cant compete with superstores on selection and price; customer service and convenience is the only leg they have to stand on. If they cant at least offer that, they will be put out of business, plain and simple.

Small in square feet but big in selection, this ACE has as every tool for every reasonable project (plus a great selection of practical, fun, and vintage gifts). Staff member Josh is fantastic — he always comes to the rescue when I can’t find or dont know what I’m looking for. He is friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and patient. On the rare occasion Josh doesn’t have an answer, he helps me find a solution. I enjoy shopping at ACE Hardware in LO because its stocked with everything I need and I look forward to familiar faces. Hands-down favorite hardware store, ever.

Ive been going to this Ace Hardware for close to 10 years. I went in to buy some pieces of wood, . . . not large, basically an eight foot piece like a yardstick. I asked them if they could cut it for me. The guy who helped me was nice enough. Then he came back and told me that his manager said that they could only cut the piece once, not twice. For a local, community supported business, one would think that customer service is key. We will no longer shop there, . . . I would rather support Home Depot or Lowes as well.

They refused a return because it was over 30 days. Never used, lables attached, with receipt and they wouldnt take it back. Cited "policy" Wow, who does this to customers any more. Not Home Depot or Lowes. So much for supporting your local business.

We need good locally owned big box competition. And these guys both strive for and most often succeed in this effort. Theyre well trained, personally helpful and their inventory reflects our local needs. Good place to patronize.

Well stocked non-warehouse hardware store. Sometimes you just dont feel like you need a warehouse full of stuff when you just need a bolt, or some screws, or whatever. Clean place. Helpful (though not always knowledgeable) staff.

They stock a wide range of hardware supplies and one can purchase just the number of each item one needs. Very helpful staff.

It always has everything we need and is a nice break from the big box stores. It has a friendly, small-town feel.
