I have had such terrible service at this Barnes and Noble. They have constantly lied to me about my book orders. I have ordered special collections of books, and they will tell me when it will arrive. It arrives weeks after that. They know when they would ship and they continue to lie about it. My mother preordered me Clockwork Princess and The Infernal Devices Trilogy set as a Christmas gift. They originally said that the computer cancelled the order, and then said they would arrive on their release date. Today is the release date and I checked my order status. It isnt arriving until next week. Im sick of the service at this store and I think I will take my shopping elsewhere if theyre going to be so terrible at customer service.

I wish this store could compare to any of its sister stores I have visited, but it falls short. Yes, it is small - but that is not the issue. The staff does not care! You have to hunt someone down or interrupt a gab session to get any kind of assistance - even in the check-out line! Then, they act put-out because you interrupted. The cafe is inconsistent, and serves OLD COLD coffee, then you get an eye roll if you bring it to the baristas attention. I kept going back for a while because I had such fond feelings toward Barnes and Noble, but they finally cured me of that! Too bad, it has such potential.

Ive been been going here since I was a little girl. I always loved story time and the nice staff. I have never encountered a rude staff member. I bet you would be surprised to know that half of the staff there have been there since I was four years old. They all have a nice history with that place and I can tell they love it there. I am now fifteen years old, and I still love this Barnes and Noble. And the Starbucks inside is great. Who doesnt like Starbucks? Way better than any other bookstores cafe that Ive been to. I will keep going to this B&N for as long as I can.

Ignore the whiners below. This is the best cafe in Normantown. The friendly service and calm ambience was sufficient to inspire me to write two books there. As for cold coffee, that is a fabrication. Never, never have the products or services at the Norman B&N been found wanting. As for some tyro who flits in one day and is offended that the staff have fun and enjoy playful banter, you would be better off at the Hardchair Cafe over at Hastings. Pick up a reckneck comedy book while you are there. Do not take the above too seriously :) it is all in fun...

Its a hit or miss thing to find what you want in stock, they do not explain membership program well and could care less if you dont get the discount or rewards, we didnt bring our card once and they said the computer wasnt pulling up our info....coffee is good, and store is neat, they seem understaffed half the time. Displays are inviting and would recommend for small gift shopping.

I had the worst experience with Barnes. I ordered a book last September 23th for my class, and I waited and waited for half a month still havent got my book without receiving any notices. Every time, I checked on my status, it always says "order on process". So frustrating, dont plan to buy book from Barnes.

There doesnt seem to be a lot of staff on the floor if you need help, unless you count the people that follow you around making sure you arent a thief. The checkout needs more staff as well. While they have a wide selection of genres, theres not a great selection in each individual genre.

I have no idea why this store got negative reviews. I found the entire staff that Ive ever interacted with to be friendly and helpful. Theyve always gone out of their way to help me find the book Im looking for. I think some people are just "glass is half empty" people.

Went there for the childrens story time. Mr Steve was energetic and creative. Was much more free wheeling and unstructured than your story time in a library. Probably better for older children. That said, he was nice and receptive with the children.

Nice, clean and bright with a Starbucks on a raised platform (with wheelchair ramp at the back of it) that holds the center of the floor layout. Last time I got a Cheesecake Factory slice from the Starbucks in it. Hope they keep that around.

I noticed the store had carts and with 2 small children I didnt think the manager would like them running around and me raising my voice so I got a cart from next store. The manager told me to leave because there are no carts aloud
