Love Light

I started going to mustard seed for a few years, we loved the store, most of all the produce is organic, variety of herbs and bulk items and a great price. Over the last 4 months, we (my husband, daughter and I) noticed many of the cashiers are not friendly and have an attitude with us, the people in the Produce, Meat, bakery, supplements and juice bar are very kind and courteous, always helpful we need something. I didnt say anything to the manager until last week when the cashier never acknowledged me, never looked or said anything to me, she actually looked like she hated her life working there, I was trying to make conversation thinking maybe she had a bad day but she completely ignored me, I was very offended and called the store manager and complained about her (he is a very sweet man). I went in there again today and the same thing her name was Kathleen and she did not look at me or smile, I greeted her with hi how are you today? she responded back and ha a issue with a product i was buying, when i cleared it up, I mentioned to her about the previous situation with rude cashiers, she defended the other cashiers saying its busy sometimes, I told her the manager mentioned there previous complaints about the cashiers and they were going to take care of it and apologized for their behavior. I hope they would do something with their cashiers, its a great store, they need cashiers with better attitudes like at at Whole foods and Earth fare, we dont have many options for healthier grocery stores, I would hate to scratch mustard seed off my shopping list.

Love the Place, yes ! Like the Products and the water refill, Yes ! I give 5 stars to the Products and Store but only 1 star for the Customer experience ... Do I get turned down by the cashiers and customer service, Yes !!! I am coming less and less to the store only because you have awful people working at the registers, hating their lifes, which gives to me, a loyal customer, a very bad experience each week ... There is no contact at all, no Hello, no interaction what so over. At this point, I would highly advise Mustard Seed to implement automatic cash out registers, they would save money and make customers happy ! Many complained about the same issues but at the day, I still see the same people and issues when I cash out. if Mustard Seed really cared about their Customers, they would make the necessary changes ! For the rest, the store is very good!

Theres still a look of good items in the store. But I recall going in 06-08, it was thriving and customer service was great. Now its all okay. At teams when it should be booming with foot traffic its dead. Bakery, Hot Foods, seems like they are only interested in trying to make thru the work day. Theres a difference in a job and a vocation (career or calling) there are way too many jobbers. The Clerks drag thru the store like theyve carried bricks all day. Every other smile seems force. What happened to the once great store that used to give Whole Foods, Giant Eagle, and others a run for their money. Except for a few necessary items I wouldnt go. And they luxury of the gluten free snacks. Oh the vitamins are lower than Whole foods, but yeah 3 stars.

Mustard Seed is the BEST supermarket in the area. The prices are great, the foods is AMAZING, and the store it self looks great! All of the food they have here is delicious. All of their homemade soups, pizza, sushi, salads, bread, cakes, cheeses, etc. My favorite food from here is the Calzone, which seems to be a popular food, as theyre always out of it by 6:00. They have lots of great juices and canned goods and frozen foods here. They also have TONS of fresh produce. The staff here is always nice. My wife and I enjoy the Hippy Vegan vibe from this place. 5 stars!

I like this place and sometimes stop here to get some organic veggies and meats to grill. The service is always great and the store seems very clean, the only downside is it is a lot more expensive than other organic alternatives, and they dont really label all the GMO foods. I would compare it to Whole Foods, also I recently bought some scallops to grill there that were absolutely delicious, but I think they were like $26 a pound?

I love Mustard Seed, let me tell you. They have the best selection in local, natural, and organic foods. Their bakery is fantastic and check out their house made salads and dressings. Sad that the Solon location no longer has the restaurant the others do, but they do offer classes in what was the restaurant and I believe they do banquets. Delicious! Go get a yule log for the holidays you wont regret it.

I used to Love the Mustard Seed in Solon and the past couple times I have been in there I noticed that the friendliness has changed, employees are not nice or helpful anymore. The pizza by the way was as hard as a rock, it sucked and they shouldnt have even served it, probably was sitting there all day. Disappointed for sure but looking forward to Earth Fare opening up in Solon very soon!!

Get a lot of prepared vegan dishes here. Mr. Lee is a genius in coming up with delicious healthy foods. Kim @ the deli/market foods is always very friendly & is a big help when I need to order. People always willing to help and advised. Love the vegan items but very expensive.

I LOVE mustard seed. Definitely $$$ pricey but you get what you pay for- healthy foods in a store with friendly, helpful employees. (Their chocolate chip cookies in the bakery are a family favorite!)
