David Molyneaux

One of the great small town hardware stores, where sales people will help you, and be happy to do so. Watson Hardware was founded in 1887 by Miles J. Watson and still carries his name. Watson turned it over to his son in law, Glenn Molyneaux, who sold it to his son, Glenn Molyneaux Jr., known as Jim. I grew up working in this hardware store, which was owned and managed by my dad, Jim, and my mom, Barbara. And its going strong. Mom and Dad were so proud of this store. They sold it in the 1990s, and the current owner is doing a great job.

A great old fashioned, small town hardware store, well stocked, with wood floors and tin ceiling (and a cat!) Should have what you commonly need so shop here first. I personally and my company have been buying our needs here for 30 years. Many Saturday mornings I say "honey, Im going to Watsons." I remember my dad saying almost every Saturday morning, "honey, going to the hardware store." And sometimes my mom would reply "oh yea, just exactly what goes on in that so-called hardware store?"

Watsons is absolutely amazing. I get excited every time I need something that I can get at Watsons (which is often more than you think). Their canning and cooking supplies section is surprisingly good, and of course they have fully stocked hardware and paint sections. Everything is fairly priced and the people are always helpful and friendly.
