Horrible experience at this Home Depot. Recently purchased a fixer upper home, so Home Depot has been my favorite store lately. Ive spend over $15k in the last two months at this location. Today I went to return a light fixture I purchased because it stopped working after 2 weeks. Had my receipt and the original box it came in. I explained to the lady at the returns counter that it simply stopped working she advised me that she had to call an employee in the electrical dept. to look at it before accepting the return. This was not a problem at all and seems to be a normal store process, however the woman that came over was extremely rude and unprofessional. Her name was Consulo, I explained to her that I insulted was weeks old and it just stopped working. She looked at it and said really 2weeks. This looks like bits and pieces of an old and new fixture. I reminded her this was an outdoor fixture, which common sense would tell u living in FL the color would fade being in the heat. The fixture faded on the top were the sun directly hits it and the bottom didnt fade because it doesnt get direct sun or rain. She looked at me and said Im not arguing with you but this isnt 2 weeks old and there is no way a fixture 2 weeks old would look like this. Then turned to the cashier and told her go ahead and return it. She accused me of returning an older item. I know there are dishonest people in this world but I would never do that and I didnt deserve to be treated like crap or talked down to. If Consulo thought it was an older item simply say Im sorry we cant return this because its been use I would have said ok. The treatment Ive received from this one individual has made me never want to deal with Home Depot again. Save the frustration and go across the street to Lowes.

I have been shopping in that store for at least 6 years and I have had good and bad experiences there. Unfortunately staff is not trained, as other people pointed out. But you know what it sure as heck beats trying to shop at Lowes across the street where every 2 seconds intercom comes in and says "assistance needed at the blah blah isle". And anyone with a pair of ears runs from Lowes faster than you can say what happened. Home depot is always jam packed and there are always many employees there. Most name me by name now which I find very personable. The disappointing factor is that they have very poor tracking abilities. Having spent close to $20,000 there over the years I have gone from "your order is here" to "yeah... about that order... we cant find it" to "what order?" to "Hey we screwed up so here is a $600 patio set on the house. I can give you a 99% guarantee that whatever you are looking for is in that store. You just have to find it yourself. Forget about asking employees on how to do something because they will not know. Ask the guy with a puzzled look standing next to you, he has the same problem and 2 heads are better than one. They are always open, always stocked, prices are decent, sales are in effect all the time, parking lot is huge, they will always help you load stuff for free. Ladies at the customer service desk are hopeless but if you get on their good side they will call someone who will get the job done. Trust me, been through it many a times. Going to the store right now as a matter of fact so wish me luck.

My husband and I ordered $6100.00 worth of appliances from Home Depot in Brandon Fl. In addition to the appliances I also paid Home Depot to install the microwave above the stove. In doing so , the installer drove a screw right through our 120 line. This repair has cost us $765.00 not including having to feed our family of 5 out for two weeks. I submitted the claim through the assistant manager named Michael. I was told their adjuster names Cedrick would be in touch within 24 to 48 hours after the submission of the claim. 72 hours went by and nothing, 5 days went by and still nothing. I have been in contact with Home Depot store manager named Maria who states it is not her teams responsibility as they did not install it (they used a third party vendor)and it is up to me to go through their insurance company. I called the insurance company and they stated they were still waiting to hear back from the third party vendor and there was nothing they could do in the mean time. I understand Home Depot used a third party contractor to deliver and install the units , however I paid Home Depot for installation not this other company. Home Depot needs to rectify this situation. I have been getting the go around for two weeks now and still have yet to even hear from a adjuster. Needless to say BBB is involved now !!!!

Went to home Depot to pick up my on line order. Waited 20 minutes at customer service while the young lady tried to help another very agitated elderly man. After 18 minutes Two other people came up and stood right next to the customer being helped. I spoke up and said the line is over here but your lady went and started helping one. I said again Ive been waiting in line for 20 minutes. She helped the first one and then started helping the 2nd so I went to returns and told them to return the 2 gallon wood finisher, I will get it from Lowes. They cant find my order. Now your customer service lady walks over with a big smile and asked if I was being taken care of. I let her know I was very unhappy so she shrugs her shoulders and walks away still with the big smile. I have heart disease and cannot stand for long periods. Sick of the way your store treats older customers. Your rep knew darn well I had been waiting. She made eye contact at least 15 times while I waited. Your return lady tried to help. She was OK. You can take your HD card and your store and go to hell cause I am a Lowes person now

Never shop Home Depot, Valrico on 60 & Mt Camel. Purchased replacement refrig on Monday. It went on sale for $100 less on Wed, before delivery. Asked if my military discount could still apply to ordinary sale price (not a special buy nor coupon nor rebate). HD Valrico customer svc desk said no. Disbelief since Lowes always does, I called Home Depot on Adamo in Brandon, which said yes. Told this to Valrico store, which then agreed to do same to prevent my simply returning it w them and repurchasing on Adamo. Im directed to Appliance Dept, where woman says changing the order to get sale price means waiting extra week for refrig delivery. Again, disbelief because orig order avail fir delivery in 3 days. Called Home Depot on 301 & Bloomingdale this time as its a bit more convenient to me, says delivery available in 2 days. Shame on Home Depot Valrico - these lies to avoid giving military a discount on a small sale break for 7/4, ironically. Refrigerators so expensive nowadays - store making plenty profit already. Will shop Home Depot on 301 and on Adamo and never Valrico again.
