I have a love/hate relationship with the Daily Grind. Their drinks are pretty awful--they never taste consistent from one to another. Iced drinks are given in small, cardboard cups intended for hot drinks that fall apart after a while. Service tends to be painfully slow and unapologetic. The saving grace for this shop is its extensive, and delicious lunch menu. I have tried probably 6 different sandwiches and wraps from here, all of which we very tasty and made with fresh veggies. Unfortunately, I once had to wait 45 minutes just to get a veggie wrap to go......from a coffee shop......with only one small table ahead of us. Bizarre. Thank goodness the food is good or I would probably never go back.

My family and I were on the road from South Carolina to Michigan and we needed a couple of lattes to keep us going. We sought out a local coffeeshop, trying to avoid chains. After taking the time to find and get ot the Daily Grind, I went in and ordered two lattes. It took about 10 minutes and I was the only one in line. When they were finally complete I brought them out to my wife and we hit the road, letting the drinks cool a bit. When we took our first sips we discovered this lame excuse for a coffeeshop had served us warm milk. No expresso. It was disguisting and disappointing. If a coddeehouse does not know how to make a latte, it does not deserve anyones business. Pathetic.

This local coffee shop does have an old, welcoming feel to it. Ive been a regular there for over 10 years now. I may have moved from time to time but when I venture back to the New Philadelphia area, the shop is still there and still has the same charm. Their food, pastries and coffee are what make the shop a popular attraction. The employees are kind, courteous and make you feel "at home". The atmosphere is what you would expect at a coffee shop - lightly dimmed, minimal music playing in the background with enough silence to help you concentrate on the aroma of the food and beverage. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

I would rate it higher because the atmosphere is great and foods is wonderful, but the time it takes to get your food appears to be rexcessive. Weve been waiting over 40 minutes. Its not busy in here. Second evening weve come in here for dinner and had this issue. So this time it appears our food ticket did not print in the kitchen. They were great and gave us a refund. We did not opt to stay. However, the last time we did come for dinner we had a similar issue where our food took a very long time with no identifiable cause.

The service is poor, I didnt bother leaving a tip because of it. THEY HAVE BUGS: GNATS, FLIES, AND ANTS in the dining area. If there are bugs in the dining area, theres more than likely bugs where they prepare the food. The air conditioning is leaking and blows condensation on patrons. The manager knows about it but wont do anything about these problems. I wouldnt recommend eating the food or drinking the beverages here.

Coffee is dynamite, but the internet connection seems seriously slow & throttled the past few times Ive been here. Saw that they had internet handled by Verizon, which level of package it is? If theyre running on a civilian-grade router that could be it too. Ive seen a few gamers in here, wondering if QOSing with a real router them might be considered for those of us trying to get some work done? Cool place to hang.

Our americanos were just okay. I had a scone that was on the stale side (though they did offer to warm it up). They have coffee beans stored in glass jars which, while pretty, works against freshness. The decor is really eclectic...and while thats largely personal preference, the layout was not conducive to first time visitors. I will definitely try here again, but my first visit - like my coffee - did not impress.

By far the best hangout spot in Tuscarawas county and surrounding areas. Anytime Im in town I stop at least once. The owners are very nice and accommodating, having shipped me my coffee supply for years now. Im still trying to find a place that replicates the welcoming atmosphere and relaxing environment. With fair prices, amazing employees, and great coffee there is no other place to visit for your coffee fix.

This is my local coffee and sandwich shop. I have been going there one to four times a week for several years. I find the coffee the equal of Starbucks (with a lot more variety), and the value and atmosphere much superior. The food is fresh and good. It is NOT a fast food restaurant, so allow the same amount of time you would to get served in a diner.

The Daily Grind is a great handout or just a great place to clear your head. Good conversation is never hard to come by yet there is always a quiet corner in which you can curl up with a latte and your Kindle. MUST try the baked goods. Stones are wonderful and the Stickers latte always makes my day. More affordable than Starbucks as well!

Its a wonderful local coffee shop. The atmosphere is just right, with more of a dense urban vibe despite the smaller city outside of its walls. Its coffees, teas, and other beverages never disappoint. This is a fantastic place to hang out with friends, or just take a break from hectic everyday life.

First visit. Decor is classic coffee shop (chalkboard menu) mixed with a subtle hipster vibe (vintage appliances scattered about). The pastry cabinet looks well stocked and tasty. I ordered a latte which was subpar. Next visit Ill try the food. Oh, the staff was super friendly.

Forget your big name coffee houses. This place has it all over them. The sandwiches are good. Iced drinks, top notch. Coffee, excellent. Nice pastry selection. Only complaint is the cafe mocha is made with a dry chocolate mix...NOT good.

This place is wonderful. Great atmosphere, good healthy food, tasty coffee, teas, and specialty drinks made with real ingredients. Comfortable vibe. Its a one of a kind experience you will not get in those big box coffee places!

My wife stopped in to get a hot chocolate for her and my daughter. We couldnt even tell there was chocolate in it, more like hot water. When I told them it wasnt very good they were rude and condescending.

Good food and drinks and friendly staff make for a great atmosphere of a hometown coffee shop. Free WiFi is available. Meet friends, read a book, play chess, work or watch videos on your laptop/tablet/phone.

Great coffee house in New Philly. Ive seen this shop transform over the past ten plus years. They continue to invest in the business, and it looks really nice inside. Lattes are delicious. Great staff!

What a great find in Tuscarawas County! I cant vouch for the coffee, which Im sure is great, but the espresso is wonderful, in addition to the fast and friendly service. Two thumbs up!
