I used to love this store but a few things recently will insure i never return. i brought a trade in that took them 45 minutes to do. not because of a line, it took that long for my trade. then they made an offensively low offer based on the time an effort it took to go over my things. Ive worked in this industry and the offer could have been made in ten minutes as a bulk offer. 2. they closed 2 hours early for a staff party. i tgink its great youre giving your staff a party. they deserve it. but do it after hours. i drove far to shop and now i have to turn around and go home. with amazon offering better prices and always open i feel brick and mortar stores should compete by being open when they say. Ive spent a lot of money here but now they can kiss that good bye.

This is my favorite Half Price Books in the Cleveland area. The three locations I frequent are this one in Mentor, the one in Mayfield Heights, and the one out in North Olmsted. This particular store has very friendly and helpful employees - and Ive probably visited this place a hundred times or more. I am fully impressed at the level of customer service. The employees also seem to be happy and enjoying themselves at work - refreshing to see, and this positivity extends out to the customers in the store. I buy everything from CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, laserdiscs, video games, books... and everything is very well organized.

Not a good place to sell your books since new guy started working there Had a brand new book unopened that cost over $100 & the guy wanted to give us $10 - I have heard him talking while we are waiting for our offer and he will make sure that no matter who is looking at your books to make an offer that he makes them go down. This is not the first time this has happened, I have been going here for years and always got a good price. Now I hate it. No matter what you take in he will make sure you get nothing close to what it is worth

They do sell some nice used books but they offer you almost nothing for books you want to give for money. We had 6 art books worth over $100 each that were never even used and in perfect condition. So what did they offer for our $600+ books? $22. Yep thats not a typo.I ended up selling them on craigs list and ebay and made $300. Which is still way better then $22.

I never pay full price for a book. If you read as many books as I do, this is the place for you. Large selection & if they dont have what youre looking for, they will call their other stores $ have it sent over.

The staff is extremely friendly and they have a large selection of books here. I was pleasantly surprised when going in. They will also purchase used books, but I am not sure of the pricing.

Kids needed books for summer reading, which is mandatory for school. The books were brand new and literally half the cost of anywhere else I found them.
