just getting back into photography after being away from it for 30 years and only playing around with it some as a hobby. Called Dodd and spoke to Jarrod on the phone and told him what I was looking for and to my surprise when I walked in 3 or 4 hours later Jarrod had everything I wanted out and ready to go even going over all the gear making sure everything worked fine. I was there probably a couple of hours just talking and getting advice, never once did he rush or get annoyed at me for asking dumb questions.....seeing how its been 30 years since Ive really purchased any real gear. This told me a lot about his character and I wish there were more people in sales with his personality, so I will be going back for all my future purchases. I also went back three days later to pick up a lense I ordered and met Brenda and I have to mention her because she has got to be the sweetest salesperson Ive ever talked to at any kind of store, I ended up buying another lense after talking and getting advice from her. Hats off to Dodds for their great sales staff they are the best and most knowledgeable people I have had the pleasure of talking too....definitely worth five stars.

Great example of why we need specialty brick and mortar stores. Stopped in today to check for eclipse film (no luck), but looked at some cases and had a great conversation that helped me nail down future purchases. Ended up back in the area again later in the day and stopped in to check on a lens price before heading to Best Buy. Not only did they have the lens, they had it for less! The sales staff is patient and helpful. They have a very good selection and although I may never go past having 2 lenses for my camera or have a $200 tripod, I can count on them for advice as to what to get to make my purchases help me enjoy photography. Now if only there was a way to convert my frequent flyer miles into store credits.......Seriously, stop by and give them a try before being a number at a big box.

I have rented a few things from Dodd and have had a very positive experience. The staff there is very helpful. I typically communicate with Jerrod, the manager, and he is just great. He is able to work with other Dodd locations to get gear in house on time for shoots. Very knowledgeable and can answer any of your questions. Very happy to go to a camera store that is not swamped, has parking, and doesnt have creaking floors. The other place in town has a nice character to it... but I will take clean/new/organized/not jam packed any day over a little character. Highly recommend!

Sharing this feedback to the owner because I think you would like to know. I was in July 9, 2017 and it was a terrible experience. This place had horrible service!! The employee was extremely disrespectful. He didnt offer me any help and looked pissed off at me asking for help. I will not be spending my money at this store.

This place is fantastic. Not only do they have the right equipment for any level of photography... theyre also not pushy about it and they give you a class to teach you how to better use your new equipment. And they have great prices. Ill buy all my camera stuff here!

This place is awful. Stuffy, boring and over priced. While the customer service was good as well as knowledgable, a Octobox rental for my strobe required a 600 dollar deposit. What?!
