This is the best Indian snack place Ive been to in the last six months in the US. Pros: Great taste Huge variety Good options for vegetarians THEY HAVE CAKE! Cons: Slightly more expensive (but totally worth it) This place was visited by a friend. He had told us that they were expensive and the portions were small. The food isnt really expensive, and the management seems to have improved on the portions. I am a veggie and it cost us about 22$ for two people The paneer wrap was spot on. Highly recommend to try it. The samosa chat was spicy good. Ordered a paper masala dosa. The dosa, aloo curry, chutneys and Sambar were all good. The mango pastry was heavenly. They have an out-of-menu rice of the day, which keeps rotating daily. Today it was vegetable biriyani. I told them I wouldve loved to try it out but I missed the board. I ordered another mango pastry to go, and the management added on a veg biriyani sample with it to go. Will update on the biriyani, as Ill be having it later on. This is a place Id surely be going back to.

I ordered veg fried rice. They served me fish smelling fried rice which had crumps of previously cooked/fried food. Upon enquiring the guy at the cash counter, he said "we have separate pans for veg and non-veg". As a person with experince of restaurant business, I found his reply unbelievable. If you are a vegetarian and you are going to the Cakewalk looking for veg food, you may want to think twice. Thanks for reading.

This store has a nice selection of Indian fast food offerings. However, please be cautious with your selection of food items and check for fresh foods.I had a nasty experience after consuming "vada pav".The vada or the "pav" was likely old , stale and I ended with a severe upset stomach , for a week.My partner too had vada pav and did not feel well.The store has to do a better job in preparation/handling /storage.

Amazing Indian food in a deceptive place - not at all what I was expecting. The food is incredible, such a wonderful variety and the yummiest, light cakes as well. Servings are plentiful, quickly served and delicious. Its absolutely spotless and tidy. If you have someone who knows the cuisine to help you choose its well worth buying them lunch to explain the menu - and you wont regret trying.

I love this place - the food is tasty and priced decently. Its a fast food place for quick bites with self service. My recommendations are rava masala dosa, vada pav, chole bhatura, puri bhaji and mysore masala dosa. Suggestion to the restaurant - please add crispy fried onions to the rava masala dosa...that gives a great taste

Love the street food options, also good quantity too. Paneer Wrap and Vada Pav is just amazing. Best fast food restaurant in town and convenient location. Pineapple pastry for desert just topped it off. Its a must go restaurant and experience the tasty food for sure.

I have been to this place several times. They make fine appetizers and almost all North and South Indian veg and non-veg varieties. Their specialty is cakes. They make very delicious cakes in the Columbus metro area. Clean and hygienic place to eat.

Food is absolutely phenomenal! The cakes and pastries are fantastic. The "real" food is very tasty. Service was not bad, and the gentleman took time to answer all of my questions and helpful in assisting me to place my order.

Food might be good, time taken to serve is really high . Calls dont get picked up if you want to order and pick up. Process of communicating time that will be taken to serve is not there which creates more anxiety.

The chat items , cakes,egg fried rice and chicken 65 was awesome there. We actually went to have snacks but surprised to see the main course dishes and it tasted just like a hotel in India and filled with Indians

Pastries: very good, South Indian: good, chat: average, indo-chinese: OMG so bad! Good location, self service. Even if you order Madras coffee, its from a machine loaded with sugar. I have been to better places.

This was the best Indian food I have ever had, even though I am from Washington DC which is covered in Indian restaurants. Both the desserts and food were phenomenal and the best I have ever had.

I got the chicken tikka sandwich. I didnt care for it at all. The dessert however was fantastic. If you love Indian food, Id say give it a try for lunch. Otherwise just go for the dessert!

Finally a fast food place in Columbus!! Look and feel of Bakery back in India. Nice clean place. Food was tasty. Tried samosa chat, vada pav and mirchi bajji. Will go back to try more

$1.50 for a single small samosa is expensive. Other items are reasonably priced. I will buy Gobi Manchurian from some other place. They give small quantity for the price.

Food is excellent but the time taken to get what you ordered takes extremely long. My order took almost 1 hour and its no exaggeration. Quality and taste is awesome.

First time I ate at Cake Walk Bakery & Indian Cafe today ... found BLACK LONG hair in my food. Wont ever go back again. Its not worth trying to visit and eat again.

They are doing good even though they are new, but they need to avoid heating food items in plastic box, example briyani and also do avoid using plastic plates.
