Wonderful coffee, very hot. Mocha had very good flavor, head and shoulders beyond Starbucks quality. Staff very friendly but inattentive to business. Another customer had to point out who was next to employee. We all had been waiting while employee had personal conversation w another customer. Came on recommendation of Buxton Inn.

this place is so cozy, with a great variety of seating, comfy nooks, or outdoor patio. its got a lot of character, and the selection of food is amazing. Ive never had a better scone than their pecan chocolate scone, but its not just pastries and coffee; you can get a fulfilling breakfast here.

A really nice coffee shop with an excellent vibe. Laid back and comfortable. Areas arranged for convenient conversations among small groups. It has a very large table which a lot of students use to study at. The staff is quite friendly and they also remain professional.

River Road Coffeehouse allows only managers and assistant managers to operate their espresso machine. This means you will get a shot pulled by a pro. Try it, youll like it. Wi-Fi ready. Displays local artists paintings, photographs, and pottery for sale.

Its pretty ok. Edit: The coffee has improved a lot recently so its not so beany tasting, especially the light roasts, and they also installed new espresso machines. They use One Line roasted coffee, which is one of the better roasters around.
