Eric the Nomad

Go figure. My previous review about racism in this Goodwill disappeared. I was in line to buy one item. There was an older woman behind me. The black manager came out when there was a problem with the cash register that locked up on the woman ahead of me. This manager asked the woman behind me, who was also black, to step to the other register so that she could ring her up, entirely ignoring me, a white male and had my 3 year old son with me, and had been standing in line for over 5 minutes (the woman behind me just got into the line!). I had a few words, and she acted like I deserved it, because I had some sort of "white privilege" at other places. Now, if Goodwill Easter Seals believe that this is how their Oregon District business should be run, then shut it down! No business should be run that way, have people working in their stores that way, nor should skin color give preference! Amazing! Negative stars! At least the cashier who was having register problems was appologetic as he could be, but I will never, ever return to this travesty of a business.

A Private User

I love to shop at all Goodwill store, but once in a while, you run into a store that run by incompetence manager. For this particular store, the store cashier treated all customers like unwanted guess. eg. you ask to go to the bathroom and their respond is "no bathroom in this store for customer use" and you have to ask to use the "fitting room" because it always locked. Most of the time they say "hi" to you when you walk in, but alot of time when you ask to use something, they hestitate to help you and sometimes plain rude. I guess this is typical of downtown Dayton atmosphere! how sad!!!

Went in needing a replacement mirror. They had a few but not what I needed. Looked around real quick as I walked out. Looked like it had the basic things one finds at Goodwill. The staff was helpful when asked and the store was somewhat clean.

Pretty small store but right downtown. Never seems busy, every once and a while I can find a gem in there. Mostly what you would expect in used clothing.
