I went in here for a job interview because I just gratuated Ohio State and have been wanting to be a barista. Someone I knew recommended this coffee spot because they were hiring. Never having been there before, I walked in and felt immediately inferior. There was not one person of color, which isnt surprising given that its Ohio. The owner of this store made it a point to tell me how "conservative and reserved" she would like her baristas to be. Which I guess my short curly hair, tan skin, and androgynous look did not cut that for her. Its a store very centralized for white middle to upper class customers. The coffee wasnt great, and Im not saying that out of spite- Im Colombian. The coffee was not anything special. I rather have a cup of Bustelo. Go to Staufs coffee shop instead. Way more comfortable atmosphere and diverse staff.

I love Winans. Their chocolates are very very good, very clean tasting, no odd aftertaste, perfect in texture. Over the holidays we tried their Santa chocolates filled with liquid caramel - fantastic! It is very evident their chocolates are handmade with care. The store is very pretty and is located in German Village, itself a very pretty location. Their coffee brew is exceptionally good. Their beans are actually, truly fresh and are roasted properly, meaning they roast their beans to bring out character; they dont burn their beans to a one-dimensional carbon flavor like too many other coffee shops. When I ordered the coffee, they ground the beans just for my order, then did the pour-over drip method right there behind the counter, which is nice to observe.

One of the best hangouts in German Village, not to mention with some of the best chocolate in Columbus, with a huge range of choices of wonderful, wonderful sweets. Not a local place, but it is local to Ohio. Their espresso drinks are great and they have a convenient location next to a busstop. I often pick up chocolate after getting off on the ride home. They have a couple of seats and some people do in fact hangout here. The baristas are mostly kind and friendly, and over all, the chocolate shop has a cosy feel to it. Definitely a place to check out if youre from the area or your stopping by.

Winans is an Ohio gem. I dont feel like I have very much to say about them, because what they do is admirably simple---excellent coffee and inimitable chocolates. This is a go-to establishment for gifts as far as Im concerned. I particularly have enjoyed their iced lattes in the summertime...And if youre a caramel fan (like me), their sea salt caramels are what you need.

Winans is my favorite place in Columbus to grab coffee and a treat. I love stopping by on my way to/from Schiller Park in German Village. The variety of chocolates is always stellar, and their candies make excellent presents for others! I cant wait for the downtown location to open (on South High St), because that one will be even easier for me to get to!

Great place, excellent selection of chocolates, coffee, and frozen drinks. The Buckeyes are the best in town! My only complaint is the staff wasnt very friendly toward me and I felt like they were annoyed by me and/or maybe they thought I was criminal. I still recommend checking Winans out if youre in the area.

This business is a bit off the beaten path, but absolutely worth a visit. If you are a connoisseur of chocolate this is definitely a place you will want to visit. Service is quick and their staff is very friendly. All of their chocolates are on display and ready to fill your hearts desire!

When their coffee is good this is a 5 star place for me. But sometimes they manage to get coffee grind into my cappuccino which makes it taste very bitter and makes it a 1 star experience. Will still be coming for a while and hope it doesnt happen too often or I might have to change my mind.

LOVED IT! Such a cute shop. I had the frozen hot chocolate and it was the best thing I ever had. I also bought a few chocolates to nibble on. They were really good but a bit pricey. I would totally get presents for friends if I wasnt traveling and the weather wasnt 100 degrees out.

The coffee is superb. The baristas are always friendly and approachable, and they know their trade. I go there for coffee more.often than chocolates, but if you are into chocolates you have to try the Bourbon Cherries. Im fortunate to have Winans in my neighborhood.

I go out my way from Hilliard to get there coffee & chocolates. Thats how good this place is. Im stuck on there caramel frappachinos! There amazing. Everyone there is friendly & I love the atmosphere there. If you havent tried this place yet, your missing out!

Customer service is amazing. The coffee is prepared in front of you. The blissful, sweet smells of chocolate fills the air. Their frozen drinks contains no milk. People with Celiacs, they do carry a few gluten free items. Their original blend is Divine.

Best little stop in the village. I love grabbing a coffee and sometimes a little bite of chocolate when I am walking with my dogs usually towards Schiller. Super sweet staff, and I love that they always have a water bowl out front for the doggos.

Winans is amazing...but not this location. They were very understocked, very small selection of their normal coffee options. Disappointing. Also, the employees were both very impersonal and unhelpful. Stick with other Winans locations.

Winans is simply delicious. My wife and I tried both their beverages and their chocolates, and we couldnt be happier we did. The chocolate had that real cocoa taste in addition to the wonderful flavor of your choosing!

They have a cute store with an excellent array of chocolates and other goodies. The dark chocolate almond wurtles are too good to share. And the double americano is probably the best cup of coffee Ive had.

Coffee drinks are amazing- they roast their own beans! Not to mention that they have delicious chocolate (salted caramels, anyone?). Perfect combination! Glad I live right down the street!

Very pleasant place with pretty good coffee. However they unfortunately dont have euro style rich hot chocolate, only American style hot Cocoa
