Fair warning this is a long review: My experience with this place has always been positive. My sister routinely volunteers and I enjoyed going and looking at all the animals. However my experience actually adopting an animal was absolutely horrible. While picking my cat (Zac) I immediately noticed blood on his nose and brought it to the staffs attention. it wasnt fresh I could tell it was old but I let it go. after filling out the paperwork one of the staff proceeded to "interview" me based on my answers on my application. Understandable, they want to make sure these animals go to good homes. She told me she was concerned that I would not seek medical attention for my cat if he was harmed because I mentioned that if it was un-affordable to me (Im talking like $5,000 vet bill) I would find alternatives or if he was in pain and there was not treatment options I would consider euthanasia. however his nose had dried blood on it and no one had even noticed to have it checked but Im being questioned on if I would see medical attention? (Yes I am aware he is not he only cat in this facility but for the amount of people that were working/volunteering that I could blatantly see, someone could have noticed. I sure did) Luckily I was able to adopt him, However the staff was extremely rude during the entire process. I saw no one over the age of 25 in this facility and no one qualified to tell me whether I am fit to own a cat in my opinion. the girl that "interviewed" me might have been a year older than me (I am 20). And perhaps the worst part of my experience was when they cut his nails before placing him in the cardboard box to go home. they were not gentle, she grabbed him by his scruff and held him in the air with one hand while another girl cut his nails so quickly I do not believe she got all of his nails. he was meowing and hissing and visibly upset. Trimming nails is never easy but now that I have had him for a few days he is not easily ruffled. and when I took him to the vet he put up no fight whatsoever when she did routine checks, including a rectal temperature. he was uncomfortable but in no way hissing or clawing like he was at these girls. I do not believed they knew what they were doing or the proper procedure. Overall I love my little boy but would not adopt from them again. I can only hope they get better and hire more qualified employees.

This place is horrible when we were looking at a adorable puppy we were planning on adopting it but then the dog next to it was chocking on her on spit because it was so thick, and the only spit can that thick is not getting the amount of water you need.So we went up to the front desk and told them they looked at it rubbed its neck. Then walked off the dog was dyeing. So all they did was grab the dog and put it in the back room. So we left because who wants to see a animal nearly die infront of ur face, and then buy a puppy so we left came back the next day we asked what happened to the pore little dog and they said it DIED we left the place of 2 YEARS thinking they got better so we went there and we seen the most cutest puppy in the world. My mom said that would be my birthday present we asked if we could THE PUPPY MAEBELLE on pending and they said NO. Then my mom said I see you do that all the time and they said do u have a LANDLORD my mom said yes. They still didnt put her on pending. We came back the next day and SHE WAS SOLD TO A ELDERLY COUPLE AND THEY HAD A OLD DOG. We were mad so we left. Then we came back a month later on my B-Day and fell in love with a awesome dog named Melissa she was already on pending so we asked if the adoption fell through could we adopt her they said no but told us THE WOMEN WHO WANTED TO ADOPT HER DID THE SAME THING WE WANTED TO DO but yet they said NO TO US. My mom said we will never be getting a animal from THERE but other than that there place is clean they get a lot of walks and most looks well tookin care of.

I was VERY unhappy with one of a kind pets spay and neuter clinic! When I first called to schedule the appointment, the woman I spoke with was very rude and in a hurry to get off of the phone. I thought maybe she was having a bad day as we all do so I disregarded it. Two days before my cats were to have surgery I received a message on my voicemail stating they could not have anything to eat after midnight that night come to find out that was wrong information, they were not to have any food after midnight the day of the surgery. The day of drop off I filled out paperwork for the cats and in the paper work it states that they tattoo the cats abdomen after surgery and I asked that this NOT be done as one of my cats is hairless and I prefer to NOT have a green tattoo visible on his skin. Needless to say they tattooed my $1200 cat!!!! Not to mention when I went in to pick them up the ladies at the front desk were very rude and quick to dismiss any questions and concerns. For an animal clinic the front desk staff was extremely RUDE and showed little concern. I WILL NOT take my cats back there for ANY reason!!

I think the people who complain about service here either have problems themselves, or dont realize that a lot of the people working in this store are VOLUNTEERS and doing this because they love ANIMALS... they are not paid to cater to your attitude and frankly, with as busy as this place is, its obvious to me that theyre doing a good job and have made many fans. The store is clean and aesthetically pleasing to look at and its awesome to just come in and sit with the animals. I love that they have "cat rooms" so you can just hang out and find which animals respond to you best. I also brought my cat to their clinic to be spayed and the prices are reasonable and there are many packages to choose in addition to spaying--shots, dewormer, having claws trimmed, etc. My cat is normally very skittish and when I saw she was comfortable here and saw how kindly the staff treated her, it set me more at ease. I also appreciate that you can bring your animal back in to the clinic for check-ups if you are concerned about anything after the surgery.

Gave us a sick dog, round worms, heart worms, and acted like it was no big deal when I brought him back. Had fleas. Doesnt defeat the animals in their care. Will charge you $30 to put drops on their back when you adopted, but never so prevention prior to that.. charge me $300 to adopt the dog, that was sick. They lied and told us he was trained well. He was not! Chewed up and tore apart rverthing ehen not in crate and woild stral your food fryom plste or hand. Pooped and peed all over the place despite walking him frequently. They said he was potty trained, but hed be outside for 2 hours then come inside and poop and pee. When we complained, we could bring back but no refunds. Instead they said now they know his problems he could be trained for the next family. What?? They told us theyd trained him already. I bet the next family will be in a surprise when he destroy their home too!
