My husband has always purchased my jewelry at Royals and Ive had great luck as well. This last week, they were even more impressive than ever. I brought a ring to a local competitor to have it sized. The other store insisted that the prongs needed to be rebuilt and that if I didnt do it, the "stone will be gone within a year." The person was so aggressive, I had second thoughts and actually went back to pick up the ring and bring it to Royal instead. Not only did Royals inspect my ring and tell me it did NOT need to be rebuilt, they did the sizing for HALF of what I was quoted at the other place AND they got it done in less time. It was well worth the trip downtown to have this ring sized at Royals. I will never again stray to any competitor. The service at Royal just simply cannot be beat.

My family has been shopping at Royal Jewelers for years, and while their selection is still good, the service has gone down hill. Despite the fact that I have purchased from them in the past, I get a cold shoulder when I walk in and almost have to beg for someone to help me unless one of the Olsons is in the store and recognizes me. I only get helpful service if one of the Olsons is there or if the sales people catch on that Im going to buy something. Also, Ive recently brought items in for servicing and appraisals, and it took them forever to finish- I had to call several times after not hearing from them as promised. As much as I would like to keep using them, their customer service is pushing me away.

I use to shop at Royal Jewelers in Fargo on a regular basis but after going to their store the past 2 times will never set foot in there again. They do have a great selection of top of the line jewelery, watches and even household pieces. But their service, with each visit, has greatly decreased. My last visit I had intended on purchasing an item for my wife but I was not helped at all and after waiting for a half an hour and watching others get service I simply walked out without an employee even talking to me. As much as I would like to give this place my business they certainly made no effort to let me.

MY FAMILY & I HAVE BEEN SHOPPING @ ROYAL JEWELERS SINCE I CAN REMEMBER, MY GRANDPARENTS SHOPPED THERE! THE OLSONS ARE JUST GREAT PEOPLE & ALL THE STAFF IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN GREETED RIGHT AS I WALK IN THE DOOR. THE STORE LOOKS GREAT W/ THE REMODELING THEY HAVE DONE. THEY ALSO CARRY THE LAZARE DIAMONDS WHICH ARE ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS, I WOULDNT BUY ANY OTHER KIND OF DIAMOND. I ONLY TRUST THE GOLDSMITHS @ ROYAL W/ MY JEWELRY, & THE WATCHMAKER, HE SERVICES MY ROLEX. ROYAL JEWELERS BY FAR IS THE FINEST JEWELRY STORE IN NORTH DAKOTA!

Went in for a resize and apprasal. Dropped it off on a Tuesday afternoon and was told it would be done by Friday. Got a voicemail saying they werent able to resize it but apprasal was done and we could stop by to pick it up. Went in to pay for it and pick it up. The lady took the card out of my hand. Paid for it. And proceeded to tell me it was not done and they had to type it up and would then mail it to me. Didnt get it until the following Thursday. Overall very poor customer service. Will not be going back.

The good: my ring was resized within 24 hours and the staff was prompt and friendly. The bad: I wasnt told up front how much it would cost (since I was going down a size, I thought it wouldnt be much, if anything) and got sticker shock when it was finished. Overall: Ask for an estimate before having work done on your jewelry.
